I purchased this resources to use with my students that are distance learning. I saw the standards that were included and purchased it with the assumption that I would be able to find the standard that I was teaching and give the assessment/quiz for that specific standard. While the material is good, I do NOT like the set up and it does NOT allow me to use it in the way that I want. It is set up weekly with NO table of contents. I did not intend to use it weekly. I thought that I would be able to use it for the standard that I was teaching. If you want to do a spiral review at the end of the year after you have taught every standard, then this would be a good resource. However, if you are wanting a product that will you will be able to use per standard, do not waste your time. Each link is just a link with no idea what you are downloading. I am going to keep looking for a product that I can use.
Good resource, but too few lessons are drilled throughout the year. It'd be great if more grammar lessons were incorporated.
The file is in a PDF. I wanted to modify it by using each page as a background in slides and then placing text boxes over it where I wished students to write or place images. I got the free extension small PDF to convert the files into PNG files but the document is too large. I tried several other extensions but nothing would work without paying additional money. I reached out to the seller to give me the document in PNG, or to break it in 10 page segments so I could use it. She refused. Now I am stuck doing screenshots which come out blurry.
This was WAY too difficult to start the year with. It would have been much better to spiral at the beginning with the standards from the grade level below, rather than starting with the end of year standards.

This resource is not designed around a particular scope and sequence since many teachers follow different timelines.

Since Daily Spiral Reviews cover all standards, students are exposed to concepts they may not have had formal instruction on. Unfamiliar content presents a great opportunity for you to build background knowledge and assess where your students are before you even teach a specific lesson.

The best way to use this spiral reveiw is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.

As mentioned above, students will encounter concepts they are unfamiliar with. This is a GOOD thing, I promise! We don't always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It's beneficial to expose students to "unknowns"; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of "not knowing" and are less likely to panic.

However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like.

I really like this-like others have said, I haven't found a way to have students record their name so that makes it somewhat unusable.

How do I contact this seller personally?
Hello, Makenzie. Feel free to email me at info@teacherthrive.com
Hi. I bought this resource last year. I want to make adjustments to a few analogies etc. It is password protected. What is the password?
Unfortunately, I am unable to provide an editable version of this resource because I created it using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. While the PDFs are password-protected, permissions are set to allow for deleting, adding, or moving pages.
Hello! I purchased the big Greek & Latin Roots/Affixes package from you several years ago when I was homeschooling, and now I am trying to access it again for my students and when I click on the All About Affixes Powerpoints after downloading and click on a unit, it tells me there is a problem and needs to be repaired but then it says PPT can't read it. Is there an update that I need? Not sure if other parts of the big package will have the same problems.
Not to worry. Please contact TpT so they can troubleshoot this with you directly. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Contact
Hi. I'm wondering if all of the interactive notebook words have a corresponding sketch note? And do all of the words in "get to the root of it" have corresponding sketch and I.N.B? Thanks
Hello, Jaime!
Yes, there is an INB activity (and more) for every root in the sketch notes.
I am waiting to see if my school will cover the cost of the bundle. Do you know how much longer the bundle will be on sale for?
Hi Leah! The current "sale" price is the bundle discount, so don't worry about the price changing. :-)
Have you considered changing the language in Unit 2 roots for All Eyes and Ears where it references MP3 and iPod? LOL. My students are like "What's that!?" But since phonographs are retro, that can stay. *me over here laughing*
Ha! I'll make a note of this for possible future updates. Thanks for reaching out.
Where is the answer key? Ty
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
The answer keys are at the end of each PDF file in the bundle.
I have Book 1 from several years ago. Is this an updated version?
Good morning,
By any chance, do you know if this bundle will go on sale?
Thanks for all your hard work!
Hello! TpT will have a back-to-school sale in August.
Would you consider creating a resource of just the electronic unit assessments? I would love these in Google forms, but don’t want all the resources in Google forms.
Hi Katie. Thanks for reaching out. I can't create custom bundles on TpT, but you can create your own bundle on my site. Please see the following link for details. https://teacherthrive.com/byob/
