Beautifully Made

I love this and so does my class - it's a bit more fun than the mundane comprehension style worksheets that are more common for learning Morphology. This makes students engage both sides of their brain and get a bit creative too - I strongly believe it helps them retain the information better.

Great way to review and a fun engaging experience for students.

So much fun!

I was looking for something to help make morphology more engaging, and this looks awesome. Thank you!

Does this resource include the affixes from your third grade resource? I teach 5th grade but I want to start from ground zero next year.

Teacher Thrive

Hello. I am not sure which third-grade resource you are referring to. You can see all of the affixes covered in this resource by downloading the preview.

Stephanie B.

I just purchased this item, and noted in the description of the product it mentions blank templates. However, I do not see any blank templates. Can you direct me to the page number? I'd like to include the prefixes for un-, mis-, and dis- in my interactive notebook.

Teacher Thrive

Hi Stephanie! Each affix includes a blank page to use your own words. Example: Pages 22-23 versus pages 24-25. The description states that it includes blank templates for words.

Carolyn J.

I think the answer is yes, at least in part, but just in case, I want to ask. Does this resource have sample words for each of the affixes? If so, how many? Do they also have their definitions?

Thank you.

Teacher Thrive

Yes, there are 6-10 words preselected words per affix activity with definitions included. Blank templates are also included so that you can select your own words.

I absolutely love this product, but with some of my students who have motor skills deficits, interactive notebooks are a challenge for them and become very time consuming. Are your affixes available as a sketch/doodle note option?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! We do not have this particular resource available as a sketch note, but sketch notes are available in some of our other affixes resources. Here is a link to where you can find those: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Teacher-Thrive/Search:sketch+notes

melissa B.

I teach a combination 3/4 grade class and use this resource with both grades. Would there be any chance you would be able to add dis, un and mis?

Teacher Thrive

Hi Melissa! I don't have plans to add these stems at the moment, but I'll make a note of your request for a possible future update.

Chelsea Nash

Do you have a list of affixes included? I just want to make sure the ones I teach are included before purchasing. Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

Hello! There’s a list in the preview file.

Nanceen H.

is this product editable?

Teacher Thrive

Hi Nanceen! Thanks for asking. No, it is not editable.

Crystal G.

Hi! When you add additional affixes to this product (and roots to your Greek and Latin Roots), will those who've already purchased receive notification and a chance to download the updated documents?

We are using Word Roots and have come across a number of roots and affixes that aren't covered in your downloads.

Love what you already have, btw!

Teacher Thrive

Hi Crystal. I haven’t added any additional affixes to this resource, but if I ever do, yes you would receive a notification.

Jessica Din

Could you please tell me what font is used for the vocabulary words? I have a few I want to switch out but want to keep it looking consistent.

Teacher Thrive

Hi Jessica! Here's the font: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Shadows-Into-Light-Font-Personal-Use-349583

Jennifer H.

WE love this resource. Any chance you are considering adding -un, dis- and mis-?

Teacher Thrive

Hi Jennifer! I will put that on my list for future updates. I left those out since I designed the resource for grades 4+, and those prefixes are typically covered before then.
