This started out with so much potential! My students were stoked to use these after I purchased your math doodle sketches (which they love). However, after a while, they found it challenging and taxing, and it took them a long time. I hope it gets better as we start up again soon after break, but I wish there was a colour version or an answer key of some kind to help those kids that need support. My top kids had no problem coming up with meanings and doodles, but for differentiation purposes, it would be great to have options.
I just started using this before the break after I bought your Math doodle sketches. Everything about this is wonderful except that I wish there were color examples like in your math sketches. It is so nice to provide my younger students with a visual. It is a brand new concept that my division team is starting to introduce, and it is challenging for my class. Also, if there was a color version it would provide me with some kind of an "answer key". Sometimes even I need help with these Greek and Latin roots too! My brain needs all the help it can get!
Used it with my lower ability Year 9s. Not overly engaging.

Is there a way to make the numbers less "squished?" ie. the 11 is hard to read. Thanks!
I am not sure what you mean. Are you opening the file from the latest version of Adobe Reader?
I've worked a couple of these with extreme difficulty. What is the number next to the pattern block supposed to represent? for example on task card 3, 1/2 = hexagon. It would be helpful to have an example.
Hi Carin! The number is telling you what that piece equals. You use that information to determine what the other pieces equal. Check out the answer key and it might make more sense.
I believe card 22 is unsolveable due to question 4 and card 12 is also unsolveable because of clue 3. Could you please check and verify in case I am mistaken
Hello. This resource doesn't have "clues". Are you referring to something else?
One card correctly filled in would help. I don't understand what students are supposed to do.
Hello! There is an answer key at the back of the resource with pictures of how the pieces are supposed to be arranged for each card.
