Description
Greek and Latin roots! Almost 70% of the English language is derived from Latin and Greek languages. When students learn these “building blocks” it becomes easy for them to recognize and decode unfamiliar words that are related to a known root. It is also increasingly important to explicitly teach students the meanings of Greek and Latin roots as they encounter the very technical vocabulary found in science and other content areas.

This was a great resource to use as I taught Greek and Latin roots. My students loved the theming across all of the worksheets. It kept them engaged as we completed the worksheets in our lessons.
I love this bundle! It was way more resources than I anticipated and kept my middle schoolers busy for weeks. I added this to a creative writing unit to spark some more imaginative language. I was pleasantly surprised as how well they increased their vocabularies. The practice with analogies alone were worth the price.
I love the rigorous examples and the correlation made with our English language. This resource helps the students think beyond basic knowledge and forces them to analyze meanings.
This is a great resource for Greek and Latin Roots.
This is my primary source for teaching roots. I like the structure of the units and the depth of knowledge required in the activities. I do find that I need to add review components for maintaining roots already introduced/taught. My students also like me to add in artistic and game-type components.
