Description
Greek and Latin roots! Almost 70% of the English language is derived from Latin and Greek languages. When students learn these “building blocks” it becomes easy for them to recognize and decode unfamiliar words that are related to a known root. It is also increasingly important to explicitly teach students the meanings of Greek and Latin roots as they encounter the very technical vocabulary found in science and other content areas.

I purchases the 2013 versions of both books 1 & 2. There are several errors that I'm assuming were corrected in the newer version. Can I get the updated version since I purchased the original version or do I have to repurchase the bundle?
Hello! You should have the latest versions under “my purchases” in your TpT account.
If I find mistakes or have questions on certain components, who do I contact?
Hello, Alicia!
You can email me directly at info@teacherthrive.com
I have purchased the full package and was wondering if it would be possible to receive the answer keys for Units 1 through 20. At the moment, I am only able to locate the answers for the assessment tasks.
I would appreciate your assistance with this, as having the unit answers would be very helpful for classroom student checking.
Hello! The answer keys for the unit work begin on page 255 of the PDFs.
Hello! I loved books 1 and 2 for Latin and Greek. Is there any chance you are considering offering more? Thank you!
Hi Deanna! I don't plan to create any more books at this time, but thanks for asking. I never know what projects I'll start down the road.
Hi! I just purchased this file and it isn't giving me permission to delete some pages. I wanted to send this to print shop as a workbook for my students, but it saying that I do not have access to alter the product. Obviously I need to delete the cover pages, tests, and answers keys. Can you please contact me with the admin permissions password? Thanks!! Excited to start using this resource.
Hello, Hali. The permissions are set to allow for for deletion of pages. Have you tried to open it in Adobe Reader?
Hello - I am working on a couple of additional activities and wondering if you can share what fonts are used in this resource?
Hi Shawn! I used Runestone and Century Gothic.
Do you have to start with book 1 or can either book be used independently? Could I start with Book 2?
Hello! Thanks for asking. You can start with any book and use whatever units you like in any order.
Hello, I am interested in this product, the powerpoints and the sketch notes -- it looks like they are all aligned - correct? Do they have to be done in order? Is there any spiraling or can I do whichever Unit I choose - ie? start with Unit 18, then Unit 6, then Unit 2 as an example? Does the order have to be followed? Also, I do not have access to PowerPoint - do they come in Google Slides? Thanks!
Hello, Ariel! Thanks for reaching out. Yes, the same roots are covered in the PowerPoints, printables, and sketch notes.
Hello! How many questions are in each of the unit assessments?
Hi Sarah! Thanks for reaching out! There are 10 questions in each assessment.
Hi there!! My students noticed a typo issue in Book 1, Unit 9A activity with the Biodegradable sentence. It seems that the line to put the word biodegradable is put after the word trash but does not work grammatically. I think that it may have switched somehow as grammatically it should end with "biodegradable trash". Is there a way that there can be an update to that unit perchance?
