Prefixes and Suffixes Sketch Notes Morphology
Noelle H.

Clever Visual Approach, But Not My Favorite

The sketch-note style brings a creative visual twist to prefixes and suffixes, which I can appreciate in theory. However, the doodle-heavy format isn’t quite my cup of tea. The content seems well-designed and could work well for visual learners, but personally, it didn't click with me.

Greek and Latin Roots Sketch Notes Morphology [Book 2]

Creative Concept, Just Not My Jam

The visual layout and doodle-style sketch notes are undeniably creative and well-executed, but the heavily visual format still didn’t resonate with my preferences. I appreciate the effort behind it and can see how it might engage visual learners, yet, personally, it didn’t click for me.

Greek and Latin Roots Sketch Notes Morphology: Book 1
Noelle H.

Creative Concept, But Not Quite for Me

The sketch notes are a creative approach and seem to work well for visual learners, but the doodle-heavy format just isn’t my style. The content is solid, and I can see the appeal for some classrooms, but overall it didn’t really win me over.

5th Grade Daily MATH Spiral Review Morning Work [Editable] Test Prep
Andrea B.

Would recommend for 6th grade

I purchased this as 5th grade homework/morning work, however even the first few weeks cover things like exponents, multiplying and dividing decimals, etc. that we will not get to until later in the year. I think it would work well for 6th grade as it reviews 5th material.

Teacher Thrive

<p>Hello, Andrea! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. </p><p>This resource is not designed around a particular scope and sequence since many teachers follow different timelines.</p><p>Since Daily Spiral Reviews cover all standards, students are exposed to concepts they may not have had formal instruction on. Unfamiliar content presents a great opportunity for you to build background knowledge and assess where your students are before you even teach a specific lesson.</p><p>The best way to use this spiral review is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class. </p><p>As mentioned above, students will encounter concepts they are unfamiliar with. This is a GOOD thing, I promise! We don't always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It's healthy to expose students to "unknowns"; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of "not knowing" and are less likely to panic.</p><p>However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like. Thanks for reaching out! </p>

3rd Grade Problem and Solution Nonfiction Text Reading Comprehension Passages

Nonfiction Problem and Solution Resource for Advanced or Upper Elementary Students

I tried using this nonfiction problem and solution resource with my third graders. It has great materials, but it’s definitely better suited for more advanced students or upper elementary. With some modifications, it could work well for younger learners too.

Elizabeth B.

Does this packet include the handbook that students can use as a reference?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! No, that’s in the spiral review resource that these assessments were created for.

young P.

Hi, I just purchased and checked but I don’t see the answer keys. Please help! Thank you!

Teacher Thrive

Hello. The answers are located in the PDF after all of the student pages.

Jaime Guidry

Does the 2013 and 2014 year have the same questions?

Jaime Guidry

That was the year the resource was created and copyrighted.

Robin S.

Not able to download and print. Keeps going to Wish list but unable to purchase

Teacher Thrive

Not to worry. Please contact TpT so they can troubleshoot this with you directly. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Contact

Dave M.

I use your 5-A-Day daily language with my students and LOVE it! I did buy the assessments but was wondering if there was any chance you might create assessments to focus on one standard at a time? I like to assess on one skill to see if my students have mastered that particular skill or need additional help.

Teacher Thrive

Hi Dave! Thanks for reaching out. Our 5-A-Day Spiral Reviews and Assessments are not set up to assess one skill at a time but to review and assess 5 skills. However, our 5th Grade Grammar units focus on one topic at a time. Here is a link to our 5th Grade Grammar Bundle, but all units are available separately as well: https://teacherthrive.com/product/fifth-grade-grammar-bundle/

_mrs.merchant

What standards are these worksheets following?

_mrs.merchant

Hello, this resource follows the Common Core standards.

Tracy H.

This is not a question but a comment. When I go to print the sheets, numbers 9 and 19 have words that are mixed up with the directions. It does not show up on the sheet, until I go to print. Since it does not show up on the sheet, I cannot delete it. Only shows up when I print. It says something about taco tico. Not kidding!

Teacher Thrive

Please make sure you are printing from the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Carli S.

I am looking into using these next year but confused with using them with your morning work packet, to me they look like the exact same questions that the students answered during the week?

Teacher Thrive

Hi Carli! They are similar since the assessment is aligned with the review. If you compare the two preview files for the first week, you will see how they are different. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Heidi Adreon

Any chance that you will have 8th grade language assessments ready for fall 2017? Love your stuff!

Teacher Thrive

That is the plan! Finishing up 7th at this very moment, and then off to 8th!
