4th Grade Daily MATH Spiral Review Morning Work [Editable] Test Prep
Julia J.

Not appropriate for beginning of the year

This is very hard for me to implement until almost the third quarter. Week one has decimals, and my fourth graders don't learn about decimals until the third quarter. It also jumps into division and bigger multiplication early. I wish it had a few weeks of third-grade review.

5th Grade MATH Spiral Review & Weekly Assessments Quizzes [PRINTABLE] Test Prep
Yrady O.

Not a "spiral" review

I wanted to like this so much because it was exactly what I wanted. But, Week 1 already starts talking about coordinate grids and volume, standards that aren't covered until later on in the school year. I wish it was organized by the order the standards are taught throughout the school year instead of introducing end-of-year concepts in the first few weeks.

3rd Grade Grammar Unit: Subject-Verb Agreement

Great Activities, but Limited Direct Instruction

This resource is advertised as a week-long unit, but in practice it functions more like one day of direct instruction followed by several activity days. There is only one PowerPoint for teaching, with the remaining materials focused on practice.

I expected a more balanced structure with instruction and assessment spread across multiple days. For example, I was able to use the PowerPoint and the second day’s worksheet within a single class period, and the “scoot” activity worked well for a separate day. However, I’m unsure how I’ll incorporate the remaining sketch notes, which might have been more effective if directly integrated into the initial instruction.

One major area for improvement is alignment between instruction and assessment. The assessments and task cards include concepts like “to be” verbs and auxiliary verbs, but these are not introduced or modeled in the PowerPoint. This created confusion for my students and could easily be developed into an additional day of instruction.
Overall, the materials are well-designed and engaging, but the unit would benefit from more comprehensive instruction and clearer alignment between teaching and assessment.

Hello! Do you have Order of Operations Set 1 & 2 bundled by chance? Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for asking, but I don't have a bundle for these two resources.

Deborah F.

Where did you find your number tiles?

Teacher Thrive

Hi there. There are printable tiles included in the PDF. The Google Slides version, of course, has movable tiles.

2nd Grade Dragons

I had a student try #12. We think there is a problem with this set. Specifically the 4th one down from the top.

Teacher Thrive

Thank you for reaching out! I'm sorry, but I don't understand the problem entirely. Can you please email us at info@teacherthrive.com and perhaps send us a screenshot? Thank you!

_mrs.merchant

Does it come with a teacher answer key

_mrs.merchant

Yes, an answer key is included.

Sorry, I don't know where to respond to you. It is on Order of Ops without Exponents card 1 question 4...10-[] x 9 / by [] = 28...we think the subtraction should be addition.

Teacher Thrive

Hmmm... Very strange. It seems that the file reverted to an older version. I think I have it corrected now. You can redownload a revised file. Please email me if you are having any issues. GotToTeach@icloud.com

Love the work my students need to do to reason through this. I believe there is an error on card 1? I think for problem number 4, it should be an addition, not a subtraction sign. My students found the error! So proud of them. Please let me know your thoughts.

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Thank you so much for contacting me. I am not seeing the error.
4 + 9 = 13, 13 x 2 = 26, 26 - 5 = 21. Are we referring to the same problem?
