Awesome Daily Review!
We have been using these daily reviews to spiral through material and keep standards fresh. Awesome resource!
great resource!!
I appreciate the effort and time that it took to create this document that makes it easier for teachers.
Not a "spiral" review
I wanted to like this so much because it was exactly what I wanted. But, Week 1 already starts talking about coordinate grids and volume, standards that aren't covered until later on in the school year. I wish it was organized by the order the standards are taught throughout the school year instead of introducing end-of-year concepts in the first few weeks.
Great Review Resource
This is a great review resource for fifth-grade math!
Spiral review works wonders!
These 5-A-Day Review assessments have been fantastic for my students to keep the crucial math skills at the forefront of their minds all year long! Wonderful resource!

I noticed that it says, "Are you looking for a simple, effective way to reinforce essential 3rd-grade math skills every single day? This 5th Grade Daily Math Spiral Review and Weekly Assessment Bundle is the perfect solution!" Does this mean that this 5th grade review is actually based on 3rd grade material or based on 5th grade material? It said it for the 4th grade one as well.
Hello, Deborah. Sorry for the confusion this typo created. This resource only covers 5th-grade topics/concepts.
Does this start in week 1 with a spiral of 4th grade so students can do it independently at the beginning of the year until they are taught 5th grade standards?
I would not advise using this resource for independent work when starting out.
The best way to use this spiral review is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.
As mentioned above, students will encounter concepts they are unfamiliar with. This is a GOOD thing, I promise! We don't always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It's healthy to expose students to "unknowns"; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of "not knowing" and are less likely to panic.
However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like.
Is there a reference sheet to which standards are being addressed?
Hello there thanks for asking. The preview includes a list of all the topics covered. Specific common core standards are listed in the resource teaching notes and are also marked in the product listing.
