Not appropriate for beginning of the year
This is very hard for me to implement until almost the third quarter. Week one has decimals, and my fourth graders don't learn about decimals until the third quarter. It also jumps into division and bigger multiplication early. I wish it had a few weeks of third-grade review.
Affixes Resource Pack
This was not exactly what I was looking for for a supplemental resource for my 5th grade class.
Not a "spiral" review
I wanted to like this so much because it was exactly what I wanted. But, Week 1 already starts talking about coordinate grids and volume, standards that aren't covered until later on in the school year. I wish it was organized by the order the standards are taught throughout the school year instead of introducing end-of-year concepts in the first few weeks.
Great Activities, but Limited Direct Instruction
This resource is advertised as a week-long unit, but in practice it functions more like one day of direct instruction followed by several activity days. There is only one PowerPoint for teaching, with the remaining materials focused on practice.
I expected a more balanced structure with instruction and assessment spread across multiple days. For example, I was able to use the PowerPoint and the second day’s worksheet within a single class period, and the “scoot” activity worked well for a separate day. However, I’m unsure how I’ll incorporate the remaining sketch notes, which might have been more effective if directly integrated into the initial instruction.
One major area for improvement is alignment between instruction and assessment. The assessments and task cards include concepts like “to be” verbs and auxiliary verbs, but these are not introduced or modeled in the PowerPoint. This created confusion for my students and could easily be developed into an additional day of instruction.
Overall, the materials are well-designed and engaging, but the unit would benefit from more comprehensive instruction and clearer alignment between teaching and assessment.
This starts off Running
I thought the assessments would get progressively harder but I do not feel I could start these assessments with my students week 1. I may be able to start them mid year

I love this resource for 5th grade… any update on the potential 6th-grade bundle (I'm specifically looking for the lesson slides)?
Thank you :)
Hello, Tina! I don't have immediate plans to create a 6th-grade version. Hopefully, this is a project I can take on later, though.
My school bought this, but I only have GoogleSuite. Is there a Google Version I can download to present onto my Smartboard?
Hello, Jess!
You can upload the PowerPoint files to your Google Drive and open them up in Google Slides.
About how much time needs to be dedicated each day to teach this? I would be trying to fit it into a 40 minute class that includes a writing project, as well. Wondering if this would be too much to do in that amount of time? Is it about 10-15 minutes? Or is it longer?
Hello, Chensie. While the duration can vary greatly depending on your particular students, I would say 15 minutes per day should be more than enough time.
Hello, do you happen to have a bundle for the yearlong grammar for both 4th and 5th? I need both but just seeing if there is a bundle deal for both purchases. Thank you.
Hello, Adriene!
Unfortunately, I do not have multi-grade level bundles for the year-long grammar programs.
I love your sketch notes, we use them religiously in math. Do you have powerpoints to guide students through making the sketch notes for these units?
Hi Karen! Thank you so much for the kind words. The grammar units do not have exact PowerPoints for the sketch notes. I designed these units a bit differently than the Math Sketch Notes, so while they do have a PowerPoint for each specific topic, the sketch notes are typically completed after all of the other components (instructional PowerPoint, practice pages, task cards, etc.).
Do you have any products that teach when/how to use "a versus an"?
Hello! Thanks for asking. I do not have such a resource. I believe that might be a first or second-grade standard, and my resources are primarily for grades 3-6.
Am I able to convert the PowerPoints to Google Slides?
Hello, Amy. Yes, the PPTS can be opened in Google Slides.
I can't find a direct "Message to Seller" button....Do you sell JUST sketch notes? Not all the units. I am just interested in the notes pages bundled.
Hello! Thanks for asking! Since the Sketch Notes are designed to reinforce the concepts taught in the other components of the unit (PowerPoints, task cards, practice printables, etc.), I do not sell them separately. Students need direct instruction for each topic before completing the sketch notes.
Is there any way to just get the 28 sketch note pages?
Hello! Thanks for asking! Since the Sketch Notes are designed to reinforce the concepts taught in the other components of the unit (PowerPoints, task cards, practice printables, etc.), I do not sell them separately. Students need direct instruction for each topic before completing the sketch notes.
From Australia here... I don't suppose you have these in UK/Aussie spelling etc, too? :) Thanks!
Hello! Thanks for asking. This resource is only available in US spellings.
