Description
Almost 70% of the English language is derived from Latin and Greek languages. When students learn these “building blocks” it becomes easy for them to recognize and decode unfamiliar words that are related to a known root. It is also increasingly important to explicitly teach students the meanings of Greek and Latin roots as they encounter the very technical vocabulary found in science and other content areas. This is the digital version of the paper-based Get to the Root of It: Book 1.

Thank you!
I love this as Bell Ringer work . I can easily schedule the assignments in Google Classroom and they are easy enough for students to do. At the same time my students are getting practice with the root words.
Very disappointed with this purchase.
I really like the printed worksheets, so I thought the digital would be great to use since I've needed to teach in person and have online work as well for the last couple of years. I wanted to like the entire product, but the activities are the printed worksheets simply scanned in with a Google form as an add-on. The Google Form is not student-friendly because it's difficult to answer or students have to go back and forth to get the question and answer. Unfortunately, this means I paid for this resource, but still have to create my own resource for my students so it's more user-friendly.
I utilize a weekly interactive notebook of Greek and Latin roots. I was looking for a way to have the students work with the roots and then be able to quiz them at the end of the week. This resource gave me that ability.

Melissa,
I am a Schoology LMS user. I am familiar with the workarounds I will need to do for a Google Form to work with my LMS. I just want to confirm that the digital Greek and Latin Book [1] is a series of Google Forms that can be used independently of a Google Classroom account.
Thanks for reaching out! Yes, these are Google Forms that can be used outside Google Classroom and work with Schoology.
Hi. I see you have a huge bundle. However, do you just have a digital bundle of the roots? Thanks.
Hi Steve! Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, we don’t have a bundle of just the digital versions. However, they are all 25% off today, which is essentially a bundle discount.
Where is the spreadsheet? I don't have any links to the digital content & it is specifically why I purchased it. Please help!
Once you download and open up the file, you'll click on the file "DigitalGreekLatinBook1"
From there, click on the .xls file, and all of the links will be there.
Hi! If I purchase this resource, will I receive all of the paper copies I need plus the Google form assessments? Thank you!
Thanks for reaching out! No, the printable version is a separate purchase. You can find that here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Greek-and-Latin-Root-Words-Book-1-882185
Are these quizzes compatible with Canvas?
Hi There! You can still use Google Forms even if you're not using Google Classroom. Here's a short tutorial that walks you through all the steps. https://youtu.be/MhUEWsAIoGU
I just bought DIGITAL Greek and Latin Roots [Book 1] Distance Learning
and since I do not use Google forms this was a waste of my $20. Please provide me a version at this cost that I can use for Microsoft products

We do not have any digital resources that are specifically formatted for Microsoft. However, we do have paper-based versions of each digital resource.
I am wondering if you will offer a resource with just the assessments digitally? I use your book 1 and 2 and use the paper version of the activities for HW, but would like to have the assessments digital to save on grading time.
Hello! Thank you for your interest and for reaching out. No, we do not sell these components separately. They are only available as part of the comprehensive program.
Is there a digital version for Book 2?
Hello! Yes, you can find it here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/DIGITAL-Greek-and-Latin-Roots-Book-2-Distance-Learning-5351819
Is there a bundle for all the digital version?
Hi Elisa, We have not created a bundle for the digital versions. Unfortunately, TpT doesn't have function that allows us to easily create custom bundles in a way that ensures customers always have the latest version of their resources, so we don't offer this option on TpT. We do have a Build Your Own Bundle option on our off-site store that you can check out here: https://teacherthrive.com/byob/
I can't find the answer key? Can you help me please? Thanks a bunch. :)
