Creative Concept, Just Not My Jam
The visual layout and doodle-style sketch notes are undeniably creative and well-executed, but the heavily visual format still didn’t resonate with my preferences. I appreciate the effort behind it and can see how it might engage visual learners, yet, personally, it didn’t click for me.
Creative Concept, But Not Quite for Me
The sketch notes are a creative approach and seem to work well for visual learners, but the doodle-heavy format just isn’t my style. The content is solid, and I can see the appeal for some classrooms, but overall it didn’t really win me over.
Would recommend for 6th grade
I purchased this as 5th grade homework/morning work, however even the first few weeks cover things like exponents, multiplying and dividing decimals, etc. that we will not get to until later in the year. I think it would work well for 6th grade as it reviews 5th material.
<p>Hello, Andrea! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. </p><p>This resource is not designed around a particular scope and sequence since many teachers follow different timelines.</p><p>Since Daily Spiral Reviews cover all standards, students are exposed to concepts they may not have had formal instruction on. Unfamiliar content presents a great opportunity for you to build background knowledge and assess where your students are before you even teach a specific lesson.</p><p>The best way to use this spiral review is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class. </p><p>As mentioned above, students will encounter concepts they are unfamiliar with. This is a GOOD thing, I promise! We don't always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It's healthy to expose students to "unknowns"; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of "not knowing" and are less likely to panic.</p><p>However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like. Thanks for reaching out! </p>
Nonfiction Problem and Solution Resource for Advanced or Upper Elementary Students
I tried using this nonfiction problem and solution resource with my third graders. It has great materials, but it’s definitely better suited for more advanced students or upper elementary. With some modifications, it could work well for younger learners too.
My students found this to be a little challenging, but it comes with many resources to practice.

Can you put unit 18 in the preview I would like to see if the words get harder as the unit progresses
Does this version work with the Schoology LMS?
Yes, it should work with all learning platforms. However, we do not have any specific experience with this platform.
Sorry, another question.... bought this. LOVE this. Do you happen to have sketch notes for this one? I bought your other sketch notes and files :)
It is not a problem at all! We do not have sketch notes for this... yet! This is something we have in the works. :-)
If my students are 100% 1:1 is there a need for the print version or will the digital versions meet my needs? Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out! The digital version will absolutely meet your needs on its own.
I have been using this resource and love it but can't find where the bonus material is located. Please help!
Hello! The bonus material is located in the excel file on the 2nd tab labeled "BONUS MATERIALS".
I bought this resource but i am very lost as to how to use the forms. I don't know how to take things from this resource and use it with what I already have. Is there a copy of this in google slides by chance?
Hello! Please check out these short video tutorial that will walk you through the steps.

More of a comment and concern, after downloading the file and unzipping it when the excel file is opened it doesn't open fully to get access to the links. Having the same issue with Digital Greek/Latin Unit book 1 & 2

I'm feeling a little lost. I think that I'm not familiar with Google Forms. I assigned the lesson via Classroom. They did them and pressed submit, but how do I see their results? I found where the responses are but there is only a time and date stamp, no way to identify who is who.

Hi
I love this resource and am very appreciative to find a resource for this skill. I used all the activities. The first one- sentence completion- was hard for the kids- format-wise. They actually provided feedback :) it was hard to see the word choices bc the words are so long and they couldn't read the choices. I don't know if there is any way to do this activity so they can see all the answer choices- maybe drop down or just a few multiple choice? Just a thought- still love it but won't use that first activity with kids. Thank you.
Hi Tracy! The students should be able to scroll to the right to see all of the words. Here's a demo: https://www.loom.com/share/4f37200d781c40c3b0ff805f67bade31
Hi,
I have print versions of a bunch of your products. Greek and Latin Roots Books 1 and 2 with corresponding PowerPoints, Sketch Notes, Digital Analogy practice for 6th and 8th grades, etc. Do you discount the cost of the digital formats of any of your products for customers such as myself that purchased your products prior to the availability of your digital formats for distance learning? Thank you for your assistance. Love your products.
I did have them on sale for the first 72 hours to help offset the cost. Their is a site wide sale that starts tomorrow, so if you wait until then you’ll save 25%.
