I can not get this file to download and I am so disappointed as I really want to use it. It will only copy the first couple pages and that is it.
This is not a spiral review. The weekly content has standards that have not yet been covered. Students can't have homework on things that they haven't learned yet.

This resource is not designed around a particular scope and sequence since many teachers follow different timelines.

Since Daily Spiral Reviews cover all standards, students are exposed to concepts they may not have had formal instruction on. Unfamiliar content presents a great opportunity for you to build background knowledge and assess where your students are before you even teach a specific lesson.

The best way to use this spiral reveiw is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.

As mentioned above, students will encounter concepts they are unfamiliar with. This is a GOOD thing, I promise! We don't always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It's beneficial to expose students to "unknowns"; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of "not knowing" and are less likely to panic.

However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like.

There is a problem with this resource. I purchased the digital version. However, there is no link for me to click on that gives me access to the documents virtually. I'm reaching out to the seller, please provide some guidance or refund me if possible? Thank you so much.
It was a good resource, but the inability to make any edits in the .PDF made sharing it digitally with the class nearly impossible. Very disappointed with this aspect. Good resource but this is a glaring issue.
The content was too hard for third grade. There needs to be a build in content and foundation. The skills were way over most of my students heads.
Also this is a rip off to not include the answer key with the questions. Why are you having people buy two separate things.

These do not include sample answers since the questions are so open-ended. Most of the questions can be answered in multiple, and even conflicting, ways.
Could you make a depth and complexity novel study for the book "Ungifted"?
Hi Natalie! Thanks for your interest! I don't have plans to create this at this time, but I will keep this in mind for future projects.
Is there any way to make this digital so that my students can fill it in directly on Google Classroom rather than printing it out?
Hi Erika,
Unfortunately, we are not able to create the digital versions of these at this time. You are more than welcome to use the printable versions you own to create your own Google Slides to use with your students only.
is this resource usable with other books?? can I apply it to any book we are reading or is it only specific to Tuck Everlasting??
Hi Zeinab! This is only for Tuck Everlasting. If you are looking for a more universal resource, you may want to check out this: https://teacherthrive.com/product/depth-and-complexity-task-cards-for-literature/
This downloaded as only one page with clip art.
Hi! Please make sure you are opening and printing the file from the latest version of Adobe reader.
I just wanted to let you know that the cover page is for Tuck Everlasting, but the description is for The Giver :-)
Thanks, Danielle, for letting me know!! I just fixed it.
