Thank you for this! I was looking for a way to record our thinking as we were reading that was not in the traditional comprehension question-and-answer format.

Students loved and were engaged in the learning process.

I read this novel every year with my 5th grade classes. I was looking for a resource that would allow them to think more deeply about the text as we read. This resource did not disappoint. The graphic organizer was helpful for students. I loved how it covered a variety of thinking activities.

We plug in novel studies for our reading intervention. Our students love this novel and this is a great resource for comprehension & discussion.

What detalla does the author include that help you get to know the character Matt?

By chance do you have an answer key for this wonderful resource? I know there could be multiple answers but some samples would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

Teacher Thrive

Hello. Due to the open-ended nature of these novel studies, answer keys are not provided. These questions are designed to be answered in multiple and even conflicting ways.

Is there a way I can make it a fillable document for distance learning? I love your product and want to use it online with my students this year.
Thank you!

Teacher Thrive

Hi Susanne,

I am not sure. I know you can use notability, which will allow students to annotate them.

Sarandeepity

Hello
Do you have this for the novel Island of the Blue Dolphins

Teacher Thrive

Hello! No I don’t have one for that book.

Lemonade Fifth Grade

If purchased, are you able to provide an editable version? I would like for my students to answer these questions digitally through google classroom.

Teacher Thrive

Hello! I do not offer an editable version. However, you are more than welcome to use the PDF in annotation apps (such as notability).

Missyteacher

By any chance will you be making one of these for The Wizard of Oz? Thank you for your consideration.

Teacher Thrive

Hello! I don't have plans for this title, but I will add it to my list.
