A great resource for Intervention!
I like the set-up, but I have to go in and change several things b/c the exercises don't require the students to do what is required of the actual Common Core standard. Ex, students do know figurative language. The Daily Language wants the students to find the origin, meaning & write a sentence. The origin is not part of the standard. I feel it's better for the students to determine the meaning using context clues (instead of just looking it up), then write their own sentence. Instead, I give them a sentence using the idiom. Then they must determine, the meaning using the context clues I've provided in the sentence. Then they must write their own sentence using the idiom. I do the same thing for the proverb/adage on the Wednesday section.
The prefix section- I change it around & have the students to identify the prefix. Determine the meaning of the prefix, then then the meaning of the word. I do understand that when creating this product, it's created to serve teachers all over that may have different standard that they must follow. I'd like to send examples of how I tweak the Daily Language.
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. While the origin is not part of the standard, students find this information very interesting and knowing the origin does help students retain the meaning. I will also add that the act of finding the origin is a common core standard: "Consult reference materials (e.g., dictionaries, glossaries, thesauruses), both print and digital, to find the pronunciation and determine or clarify the precise meaning of key words and phrases." I am happy to hear that you have been able to adapt this resource to meet your teaching needs, though.
Kind of high expectations before reading -- concepts are challenging for many younger students with nothing concrete from which to build references. With the right group, it would be great.
great resource
Very clear. My only suggestion would be more text structures and lines in the boxes.

How are the google forms graded if the student has to rewrite a sentence? For example, what if they spell a word wrong when typing (not the targeted word)? Are there any questions I will need to asses myself? Thanks!
Hi Janie. Google Forms are self-grading and contain the correct answers within the forms. There are some long answer questions that you'll have to manually grade, but it's very simple. Here is a short tutorial on what this looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kl4U0yPbs1A
Thank you for the resource. I purchased the 7th and 8th grade assessments too. I love how you break down the standards for each question on the assessments. Is there anyway you can share the standards that are associated with each question for the 6th Grade assessments digital version like you do with the paper version?
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, with the way Google Forms work, we are unable to add this to the digital version.
The 5th-grade version lists a new skill for each week. Will that be available for the 6th-grade version as well? Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out! The 5th and 6th Grade versions are identical in how the resource is setup. However, the content is entirely different.
Is there a base doc so I can make a hard copy for myself? Also, can students see their results as they go, or at the end of the quizzes? Are they able to correct, and if so, will I see that in results?
Thanks for reaching out. When you open the link to each form, that will be your copy. The students see their results when they have submitted their answers. They are not able to make corrections.
Help! My students all filled out this form, and I can view all of their answers, but I can't tell which student is which! It says that the students all get their forms back immediately, so I can ask them, and I did tell them to put their names on the form, but I can't either find it or there isn't a place for their names. Thank you for your help!
If you are not using Google Classroom, then you will need to add a question to the quiz that asks students to input their names. Please see the following videos.

Do you have an answer key available? I know these are self grading, but I'd like to see the answer you put in google forms. Thanks! Great resource.

I have been waiting to purchase the digital version because I am worried about how it is auto-graded. Will it give a grade for each standard separately?
Thank you!
Hi Tamara,
Yes. There are 36 quizzes included in this resource that coincide with our 6th Grade Daily Language Spiral Review. Each quiz is aligned with the content covered during the week from the spiral review.
Hi,
I had the paper version before the world stopped and am going to purchase the digital version now. Is there a discounted price for those of us who had the paper version? And is the paper version the exact same as the digital?
Thanks!
Hi Amber,
Our digital versions are all created in Google Forms, so teachers can save time using the self-grading feature, which is not available in Google Slides. Creating Google Forms is very labor and time-intensive, so we decided to list these separately, therefor there is not a discount available.
As far as the content that is included, yes the digital version as the printable.
Please help! I downloaded this, but there isn't a spreadsheet with the forms. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Not to worry. Please contact TpT so they can troubleshoot this with you directly. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Contact
This is great! Do you have plan to make a digital resource like this for 7th and 8th grade?
Hi Kristi! We hope to eventually. However, we don't know when/if we will be able to do this.
