These sketch pages are like mini anchor charts that your students actively create and can be referred to in the future.
While these were specifically created for 6th grade, there are no grade-level indicators on the student materials, so you can use these with older students.

WHY SKETCH?
Sketch notes present your students with a meaningful and engaging activity they will love. Doodle note-taking activates verbal and visual modalities to capture concepts. The whole brain is absorbed in hearing, synthesizing, and retaining ideas. This high level of engagement helps students retain the content and leaves little room for distraction.

Useful Product
I use this weekly for homework for the beginning of 5th grade. I find it very useful.
Fun for students
Took a while to get the hang of the activity but we enjoyed!
Fabulous for our curriculum bell ringer
I love this, it is engaging, and the students love the learning opportunities. My students have made comments like, "The word bio- helped me with a word in science, because I remembered it means life". In our curriculum we are only given one day to teach Greek Latin roots, so I use it for a daily bellringer. I give them a new one at the beginning of the week. They have 10 minutes every morning to work on it. We go over the first four sections whole group before the quiz on Friday. I love this resource. Thanks!
Great resource!
This activity was a great addition to my "tool box." I appreciated being able to purchase and utlize something so beneficial.
