I am starting to use this as a quick homework assignment. Very well designed and well thought out. Thanks for producing such a wonderful document!
I plan to use this with my higher level ELLs, can't wait to use them!
I LOVE THIS!!! I LOVE that it is printed on two pages for the week also!!
Quick Question: Do you have a template/handout that has an overview of what a "context clue" is, or the rules for commas, parentheses, possessive nouns etc? I was thinking how awesome it would be to have a little handout that can be glued into student notebooks as a reference, especially for my EL's. I was just wondering if you had something like this that would correlate with this fabulous resource!!!!
Thank you!
Great resource.
This is one of the best teaching resources I have purchased or inherited! The new revision is very effective, and more closely practices the skills that are being reviewed. I love that all of my students are challenged by these questions, from inclusion to gifted sections. I allow my students to use a dictionary or other classroom resources on these, and they respond so well tackling the "puzzles." (These often are not a review for my students, but new information. We use it to discuss reading a question effectively, and to learn things we might not cover in depth until later in the year.) One thing I do miss in the new revision: "Hyperbole Monday," as my students called it last year. It was a great opportunity to for my students to practice creativity in a speedy feedback model - but I can easily implement that on my own, on the side. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
Hi Bonnie!! Thank you so much for the thorough feedback. I really appreciate it. Please make sure you keep the old version too, so you can still incorporate the hyperboles. I made that change because I really wanted this review to be representative of the Common Core standards, and I needed the "real estate" to add more skills that were not included in the original version. Thanks again for the taking the time to leave this feedback!

I really want to buy this product (along with 7th and 8th), but it’s only allowing me to add to wish list and not purchase. Is there a way I can buy those 3 products? Please let me know as soon as possible.
Thank you!

Hello! Everything is working on our end. Please contact TpT directly to troubleshoot this with you. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Contact
Are these meant to be completed independently or is there a teaching component that goes with it? If it is independent, does the handbook contain the information they need to reference in case a skill hasn't been covered in class yet? If it is meant to be taught prior to them completing the review, do you have a product that would include everything needed to teach these concepts?
Hello! There is a handbook that offers some support as the students complete the review. I recommend completing the first few weeks with the students in a whole-group setting. Then they will be able to complete the tasks independently. This is a stand-alone resource.
Can u show week 16
We do not share specific weeks, you can get an overview in the preview.
Can you show week 7 on 6th grade
If you look at the preview, it gives a breakdown of what is included. We can not share specific weeks.
Is this product meant to be used in conjunction with the INB? Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out! While they weren't technically made for each other, they do coincide well!
Is there a post test available to purchase?
Hi Jori! Yes, you can find those here: https://teacherthrive.com/product/6th-grade-weekly-language-assessments/
Is it possible to make the PPT a Google Slide presentation? We are a Google School, so I nor my students have PPT. Thanks!
Hi Kristina,
Yes, for the most part, the PPT should transfer over to Google Slides just fine.
Do you have a digital version of this product?
Hello! Yes, we do! Here is the link: https://teacherthrive.com/product/6th-grade-language-spiral-review-digital/
Is there an editable version of this so I can adjust the pronoun shift questions to be inclusive of "they" as a singular gender neutral pronoun?
Hello! The definitions, sentences, and images in the PowerPoint are editable. The slide titles (see attached image--boxed in red) are not editable; they are embedded as an image within the background.
Could you please add a preview of the handbook? It would be helpful to see the layout, style and language. Also how many pages is the handbook? Thanks.
Hello! Higher res pictures of the handbook are included in the preview. The Handbook is 9 half-pages.
