I purchased this resources to use with my students that are distance learning. I saw the standards that were included and purchased it with the assumption that I would be able to find the standard that I was teaching and give the assessment/quiz for that specific standard. While the material is good, I do NOT like the set up and it does NOT allow me to use it in the way that I want. It is set up weekly with NO table of contents. I did not intend to use it weekly. I thought that I would be able to use it for the standard that I was teaching. If you want to do a spiral review at the end of the year after you have taught every standard, then this would be a good resource. However, if you are wanting a product that will you will be able to use per standard, do not waste your time. Each link is just a link with no idea what you are downloading. I am going to keep looking for a product that I can use.
Good resource, but too few lessons are drilled throughout the year. It'd be great if more grammar lessons were incorporated.
The file is in a PDF. I wanted to modify it by using each page as a background in slides and then placing text boxes over it where I wished students to write or place images. I got the free extension small PDF to convert the files into PNG files but the document is too large. I tried several other extensions but nothing would work without paying additional money. I reached out to the seller to give me the document in PNG, or to break it in 10 page segments so I could use it. She refused. Now I am stuck doing screenshots which come out blurry.
This was WAY too difficult to start the year with. It would have been much better to spiral at the beginning with the standards from the grade level below, rather than starting with the end of year standards.

This resource is not designed around a particular scope and sequence since many teachers follow different timelines.

Since Daily Spiral Reviews cover all standards, students are exposed to concepts they may not have had formal instruction on. Unfamiliar content presents a great opportunity for you to build background knowledge and assess where your students are before you even teach a specific lesson.

The best way to use this spiral reveiw is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.

As mentioned above, students will encounter concepts they are unfamiliar with. This is a GOOD thing, I promise! We don't always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It's beneficial to expose students to "unknowns"; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of "not knowing" and are less likely to panic.

However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like.

I really like this-like others have said, I haven't found a way to have students record their name so that makes it somewhat unusable.

I bought this last year, and when go to assign them this year I get a notification that the quiz(s) has/have been deleted... Can you help with this?
Hello! Please redownload the resource to make sure you have the latest links.
Do the digital quizzes go along with the printable versions of daily spiral review or just the digital version??
Each week has 1 Google Forms Quiz that covers all skills covered in the Daily Spiral Review (sold separately) This can be used with the digital or paper version.
On Week 13, please check #3. The models are missing from the copy I made. Thank you.
Hi Daiann! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have corrected the error, so you can download a revised file.
On week 7, the first 2 questions only have 1 choice on my copy and #5 allows them to choose only one answer. Is there an update I missed? Also, on the shapes, is it all or none for the 4 points per shape. I love these and use them every week. Thank you.
Sorry! It looks like someone was able to edit this form from outside our organization, hence the errors. We have corrected number 1 and 5. For number 14: Unfortunately, Google requires all checkbox grid questions to be scored on an "all or nothing" basis.
Is week 7 correct?
Hello. Which question on week 7 are you asking about?
I am looking for a list of the quizzes so that I can download the one on rectangular prisms. I might have missed something. Thank you-I really appreciate that you made the quizzes on Google Forms!
Hi Jackie,
The assessments are organized based on the review. If you download the preview file of the review, you can get a breakdown of the topics covered each week.

Here is an example:
#8 5 x 4/9 on Week 13 Math Quiz
The answer is option 2 which was selected but it has a blue box around it showing that it is incorrect.
I just checked the problem, and it is set up correctly. I am not sure what you mean by a blue box around it. Could you email me a screenshot? info@teacherthrive.com
Sometimes the correct answer is marked incorrect- why is that? Also, is there a way to see my students answers after they have turned them in?
Hmmm, can you email me a specific example? info@teacherthrive.com. Yes, you can change the settings of the forms so students can see the answers after they have completed the quiz.
Are they spiral quizzes or one topic/standard per quiz? Thank you.
No, each quiz covers several topics.
How many questions are on each quiz?
Hi Susan,
There are 20.
