Very nice product.
I took a chance on this.....I was hoping for something that the student could use independently. But it's created for the classroom where the teacher would speak as s(he) "flips" through the slides.
I'll still use it in my own direct instruction.
I like this, I would love it if I could move things around to match when my kids learn concepts. I don't want kids to have an activity that I would use as a morning work, individual, on-their-own, to frustrate them because this has fractions before they've learned them, or whatever. I had kids who became very frustrated by the fact that they hadn't learned something at the beginning of the year, but it was introduced in this packet. It also meant I had to either do a mini-lesson for them, weeks before something was introduced, or just show them how something was solved when we went over the answers, rather than letting them figure it out, because it was a morning activity. I don't like that about this product. I understand about copyright, however, there are other sellers and products that do allow editing, which I've since purchased so that I CAN tailor to my classes. This was somewhat of a waste of money.
Hello. I hope you will find a use for this in your classroom at some time in the year. I understand your desire to prevent your students from becoming frustrated. I have always found it beneficial to present unfamiliar concepts to my students, as this is representative of "real life". I can assure you that if you do use the first few weeks of the resource as a a guided instruction opportunity (see teaching notes), your kids will catch on in not time and be off and running. Also, please note that an entire 2 weeks is provided in the preview. Best of luck with your school year!

The roles are really clear and the students responded well. I am using these also for information texts.
Definitely not recommended for 4th grade. (I even have the Honors cluster.) The directions on the job sheets are confusing and written with difficult vocabulary. When I tried to ask the seller for support, it was refused. Disappointed.

So far I am loving this product. It is hard for my students but I can see where there are holes in their learning. I love the ELA help resource. I noticed a similar resource in the Math but it looks more like the teacher version. Do you copy the resource for your students too?

Does it come with friday? in the preview it only shows monday-thursday. our district is using an odd order for math (we started with volume) so could I use them out of order?
Hello! This review is for M-Th only. It is not designed to follow a certain scope and sequence. Students will be presented the with concepts that haven’t been formerly taught. However, the language review is editable and the math review will be editable in a couple of weeks.

Hi Dolly! Yes, once I have created the editable versions, I will definitely add it to the bundle for free. The editable versions take a very long time, and while they will get finished, they are several months from being completed.
Is the editable math book available?
Hi Dawn! No, not yet. These are more difficult to make editable due to all the graphics/visuals. They will eventually be editable, but it will take a bit more time to get them finished.
