A Wonderful Resource!
I have purchased MANY of these resources. The students enjoy the sketch notes. They help them remember each skill. Thank you!
Great resource
This resource is a great way for student to practice grammar skills.
Well done resource
We began using this this year and it's great! I love how it repeats skills so the kids gain understanding and practice week after week. It is a bit difficult but it's good!
Great resource!
This resource is the perfect warm up for our ELA time. I love the resource attached so students can review and work to complete it independently or with their small group.
Well organized
The students have been doing one a day and we do mondays together and it has been going really well.

Hi,
I just purchased this and am unable to open the pdf file to view attachments. Is there another way to view this document?
Thank you!

Are the spirals built upon? I would love to know what the first couple of weeks look like because I am trying to decide on what content they will need to know prior to giving them the spiral. I am planning on using this next school year, but wasn't sure how much 5th grade grammar content they'd need prior to using these.
Hi Lexi. Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we recommend teaching them in the order they appear. We don't worry too much if there hasn't been a formal lesson on a particular concept; We treat those items as more of a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students are working independently on the review, you will be able to spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.
Is it possible to get an editable copy of the Student Handbook? I realize that it's not editable because that could really mess up the printing, but I teach in a private school and we do not follow Common Core standards in the same order. I am using a combination of grade levels to meet my needs, and I would like to be able to make similar handbooks for them that they could use for reference while completing their daily work.
Hi Ashley. Unfortunately, I do not have an editable version of the Student Handbook because it was created using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
Week 13, Wednesday #2
The sentence has a double "or" in it.
Hi Jane! I am so sorry, but somehow your question got buried, and I am just now seeing it! Sigh. Thank you for letting me know about this error. I have corrected the resource and reuploaded it. Please reach out if I can help you with anything else.
A friend told me about your 5-A-Day for Language Arts and love it. When she purchased it, the was a Friday wrap up assessment she bought....I can not find it on TPT, is it still available?
Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Here's the link to the assessments: https://teacherthrive.com/product/5th-grade-weekly-language-assessments/
Hi. Love this for morning work! Is this tailored to the new standards in Florida (B.E.S.T Benchmark)?
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, no. All of our resources are aligned with the Common Core.
I just bought the roots and affix books and sketch notes (awesome, btw!). I would like to get the 5th grade review bundle, also, but I was wondering if its possible to add the sketch notes? Or even switch them with word analogies and/or assessments? I see that there's an included booklet with the same info, but the visual component is so helpful for my son (we home school).
Thanks for your response,
Myriah
Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry, but I do not understand your request. Which sketch notes, analogies, or assessments are you looking to add to which resource?
I love this resource, but the assessments take so long to grade. Do you have an electronic version in Google Form that is self grading?
Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we have the quizzes available in Google Forms that are self-grading! You can find it here: https://teacherthrive.com/product/5th-grade-weekly-language-assessments-digital/
Is there any way to purchase a 'custom' smaller set, for example, the first 4-5 weeks or so?
Thanks for reaching out! We have a free 2-week intro resource for this that you can find here: https://teacherthrive.com/free-grammar-spiral-reviews/
Writing again here basically because I started here, in case you want to go back to my original question, which is a few messages down. :o)
Ok, now that I know that I can't get the handbook apart, I'm still deciding on grade level (My EFLs vary a little from yours as our educational systems are very different) and (still) which to get.
I would like to be able to see the inside of the handbook. Would it be possible for you to send me a page or two so I can see the setup and language used? Just a sneak peek? My email is carol21463@hotmail.com
Thank you!
The preview files have several images of the handbook pages. This should be enough for you to access and assess the content.
