This is an amazing product! I love it! By any chance will you be making a reading one similar to this? Thank you for your consideration!

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Thank you for the kind words. I don't have one for reading at this time. Thanks for asking!

the Classy Sassy Teacher

I purchased your 5-a-day language review when I taught 5th grade; however now I am in 4th grade. One of the issues with the product last year was students had not seen those skills yet and if I would have waited to use the product I wouldn't have been able to use it until the 4th nine weeks. Do you have a spiral product that mirrors this format or would you consider doing one that covers previous skills and builds up to the pages in this resource. For example a review of 3rd and into 4th in one resource I don't teach 3rd and wont ever (due to my license) and I don't want to purchase two products.....school just started and this would be quite a lot.

Teacher Thrive

This resource is not designed around a particular scope and sequence since so many teachers follow different timelines, etc. I find that they best way to use this is to begin with whole group lessons where you model and discuss each of the activities. I don't worry too much if there hasn't been a formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more of a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students are working independently on the review, you will simply spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.

i have a son with dysgraphia. would like to recommend this to his teacher. do you have a version where the answers can be typed in using a keyboard and then print them out to turn in?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! I made this resource using Adobe Illustrator, which is then turned into a PDF. I am not sure if that will work. You can download the preview, which has a full week and try it out.

Casey W.

I used this language review for fifth grade and LOVED it. I am teaching third next year and would love to use this same type of review. Is there a 3rd grade product just like this?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! YES, I just finished the third grade version two days ago! Here's the link to it: https://teacherthrive.com/product/3rd-grade-daily-language-spiral-review/

I am also reformatting and improving the 4-6th grade versions, starting with the 5th, so make sure you go back and get the updated version in case you ever need it for 5th.

Sheryl L

Hi there, looks like my previous question got deleted and I can't find your response. I was asking about changing the days of the week to "Day 1", "Day 2", etc. Also can you tell me how often there are sentence corrections that involve quotations? I know you said 'some' before, but can you give me a ballpark number or percentage? Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

Hi Sheryl,
Just updated this resource. Now every week has adding quotations and commas to direct speech:-)

Kalyn Auth

Is there any way to format the document so that each day takes up only half the page? I like to copy a math word problem on the back of my language arts morning work and cut them for each day.

Looks like a great assignment and I would love to purchase if this is possible!

Teacher Thrive

Hello! I am sorry, but the only format available at this time is what you see in the preview.

Everything Elementree

Hi, thanks for responding to my previous question. I understand what the intended answer is, but it seems to be misleading to me. When I did some research, I found this: http://www.quora.com/Do-nouns-have-antonyms which leads me to believe that this question shouldn't be there. Also, I've noticed that you capitalize "relative pronoun" but I don't think it should be capitalized.

Thanks for your help!

Teacher Thrive

Thanks for your input! I appreciate you taking the time to message me. I'll look into.

Stephanie M.

hi there! i bought "book 8" of your 5-a-day language review and love it! i need to differentiate in my classroom and i would like to purchase "grade 4". before i do, however, can you tell me if the top of each page reads "book 4" or "grade 4". i don't want to purchase a product that has "grade 4" on it when i work with 8th graders. thanks!!

Teacher Thrive

Hi there! The grade 4 version no longer says "grade 4." It has been replaced with "Book 4. I need to update the previews, since I think they still show the star. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Everything Elementree

Hello! I have really enjoyed using these. I love having the spiraled review. I just have one comment: I noticed that in some of the questions, you ask students to find the antonyms of nouns (like boulder) but these words don't truly have opposites. Is it possible to change these questions?

Teacher Thrive

Hi There. I think the intended antonym for boulder is pebble. Do you have any other examples of the antonyms or synonyms not matching up? This is the first I have heard this. Thanks.

Kimberly R.

Will you be making a 3rd grade version any time soon?
Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

I am giving it some serious thought. However, if I do it will be a few months out. Thanks for your interest, though!
