🎯 Why Teachers Love This Resource

✔ Visual pathways for complex concepts: Students aren’t just memorizing — they are sketching definitions, examples, and models that make algebraic thinking and number sense more accessible.
✔ Perfect for Guided Notes or Interactive Notebooks: Use pages whole‑class, in small groups, or for independent work.
✔ Supports students who think visually or need processing time. A great fit for diverse learners.
✔ Flexible and re‑usable: Print pages for class sets, put in binders, or assign as homework.
✔ Can be paired with any 3rd grade curriculum: Not tied to a particular program, so you can integrate with what your district or school uses.

Teachers comment that their students refer back to these pages all year, and that the visual note‑taking helps students truly make sense of math rather than just memorize procedures.

🧠 How Students Use These Pages

📌 Build Sketch Notebooks: Students can compile the pages into math notebooks to serve as a year‑long reference.
📌 Complete During Instruction: Use during guided instruction so students record key ideas while learning with you.
📌 Review & Test Prep: Assign pages as review before quizzes or for spiral practice.
📌 Supports Reflective Thinking: Pages encourage students to reflect — not just fill in blanks.

Because sketch notes integrate writing, drawing, and reasoning, many students find them less intimidating and more interactive than traditional notes or worksheets.

🧑‍🏫 Teacher Benefits You’ll Appreciate

💡 Save planning time: Ready‑to‑use notes eliminate the need to create visuals from scratch.
💡 No extra prep needed: Just print and go!
💡 Great for differentiation: Students who need more practice or visual supports get them built in.
💡 Works in any setting: Classroom, tutoring, remote learning, or math intervention blocks.
💡 Supports long‑term retention: Students use multiple modes (visual, verbal, kinesthetic) to learn.

📦 Who This Is Perfect For

This bundle is ideal for:

  • 3rd Grade Teachers
  • Math Interventionists
  • Homeschool Educators
  • Special Education Teachers
  • Tutoring Programs
  • Visual Learners & “Doodle Thinkers”

It’s adaptable for whole‑group lessons as well as small groups or independent work.

This 3rd Grade Math Sketch Notes Doodle Pages Year‑Long Bundle is more than a set of printables — it’s a year’s worth of meaningful math notes that help students understand, visualize, and remember mathematical ideas. Whether you’re teaching place value, fractions, multiplication, measurement, or data, these sketch pages give students a clear visual toolkit for confidently mastering standards.

I wish I found this sooner

I love these interactive sketch notes that keep my students engaged instead of simply creating anchor charts in front of them, though while they watch and possibly zone out. It has made a huge difference in teaching my students keywords and has given them great resources to refer back to when when needed.

Jassy Schovajsa

Awesome for introducing lessons or reteaching.

I love this. It makes our lessons more fun than just doing worksheets. Students can refer back to it after the lesson to help them.

Thank you for another wonderful resource for 3rd grade math!

April G.

Interactive

So glad I tried this resource. It's working well to support an interactive math notebook for my class. Since I am in Canada, I am using the grade 3 and grade 4 to meet our slightly different expectations.

Jordan C.

AMAZING!

This is an amazing resource! I love all the options, and my students love that they can draw on their notes.

Christina V.

This is an AMAZING resource! Do you have one for 3rd grade ELA?

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Christina! Thanks for the kind words. I don't have this exact type of resource for ELA. However, I do have a grammar/language bundle for third grade that does include sketch notes.

Pernilla D.

Are these AMAZING resources editable? Would like to translate them into swedish...if possible? :)

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Pernilla!

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide an editable version of this resource because I created it using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. While the PDFs are password-protected, permissions are set to allow for deleting, adding, or moving pages.

Ariana S.

Does this align with the new Virginia SOL standards for 3rd grade?

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Ariana! These are based on the Common Core standards, which cover most of the VSOL. Please review the list of topics in the product description to see if they cover your standards adequately.

Krystalynn Wilson

Hello! I purchased the year long bundle. I see how to download every topic individually, but there is there an option to print all of the notes pages in one so I can print a whole notebook for students?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Yes, there is an "all-in-one" download option for all the student pages. You should see this version in your purchases. If you're not able to locate it, please contact TpT for assistance.

Leah S.

What is the font, or how do you make the traceable numbers? I would really love to use it for something I am working on.

Teacher Thrive

Hello! They are not based on a font. I created them in Adobe Illustrator.

Melissa P.

I bought a few of the 3rd grade math sketch notes doodle pages, and now after trying them, I love them! Is there a way to use what I have paid already towards the $39.60 for the year long bundle?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! If you purchase the bundle and then contact TpT, they will refund you for the individual resources you purchased.

Brenda K.

Do you have this resources available through other sites also, or just tpt? Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

Hello! At this time, I only have these available on teachers pay teachers.

Heather S.

I know you are handling these issues promptly, but do you have an estimate for when you will cover the area and perimeter? I’d like to review this material before the Christmas break, as we will be taking a Mock STAAR test in our school district when we return.

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Heather! I just stated measurement/geometry. However, I don’t think I’ll have the units up before winter break. Sorry!

Cidney S.

I recently purchased this set and, unfortunately, was issued a new/different laptop. I am not able to download the actual sketch notes to print for my students as they seem to be in Dropbox? I have no trouble seeing the powerpoints, but really need the notes. Thank you for your help.

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Cidney. The individual PDFs for each unit are hosted on TpT, so you shouldn't have any trouble downloading them.

The all-in-one printables file is hosted on Dropbox, and your district might be blocking this site.

You should have no issues if you try the download from a personal computer and/or network.
