Description
This close reading resource is designed to be used with students in grades 4-8 and provides many options for differentiation. This resource includes 4 different reading passages (3 fiction and 1 non-fiction). Each passage is written at 3 different reading levels (approximate grades 4-5, 6-7, and 7-8).
There are also 3 different Reading Response Sheets with text-dependent questions for each passage. Each of the 3 Reading Response Sheets is based on a specific Common Core Reading Domain: Key Ideas and Details, Craft and Structure, and Integrating Knowledge and Ideas. These Reading Response Sheets are also differentiated! I have created two levels (A and B): Level A is based on the Common Core Standards for grades 4-5, and Level B is based on the Common Core Standards for grades 6-8.

Loved the resource but please change the answer for C and D around for the practice assessment number 4. Ick is the answer but that is letter D and my students picked up on the bad word it made.
Several Errors
I haven't used this product in a long time and as I was going through it, I found several errors. There are 2 choices or wrong choices in quite a few. I would suggest that you go through all of them to see if there are 2 options that are both correct and a few of them have the answers in the wrong order.
I was looking forward to using this resource. I was disappointed to find that although it claims to be for a full week, it is actually only 4 pages per week. If I want to use the 5th day resource, it requires purchasing yet another product by the creator. That should be stated up front. I am now forced to decide to either waste my money and not use the product at all, or spend even more money for the day 5 activities.
I didn't find this resource made for distance teaching. It's more like the other products made for in-person teaching. I was not really happy with the purchase, because I thought that with the title it was more complete in the PowerPoint when it was not.
This resource was a bit complicated and I did not feel that it made it easy to use for 5th grade. I used it a few times, but I wish it would be 100% aligned with common core requirements, which I feel it was not

You are more than welcome to add screenshots of the passages to Google Forms and then add the open-ended questions below to share with your students only.
