Description

“Book Bits” are carefully selected snippets of information from the book. There are 47 “Book Bits”, however, you will only need one for each student; you can pick and choose which ones you like the most.

1. Give each student a “Book Bit”. The students will read their individual “Book Bits” and be allowed a little time to ponder and reflect on what they say (e.g., What impressions are they gathering about the book?).

2. Have the students move around the classroom, reading their “Book Bit” to every other student, while also listening to the other students’ “Book Bits”. No discussion or interpretation occurs at this point; they are simply reading to each other.

3. After hearing the other students’ “Book Bits”, students can then do a quick write on the impressions they now have about the book (What is this book about? What can we infer about the characters?, What might happen in the story? etc.)

4. After the quick write, students can discuss with each other in pairs, small groups, and eventually whole group.

5. The “Book Bit” quick write can then be revisited after students have read more of the book, or have completed the book.

4th Grade Grammar Unit: Prefixes, Greek and Latin Roots, Suffixes

I purchased this product, especially for the task cards. Unfortunately, the task cards did not open or fully load so I was not able to use it at all. I was extremely disappointed and would like a refund for this purchase.

6th Grade Daily MATH and GRAMMAR Spiral Review Bundle Test Prep

I ordered this on accident, as I was looking at two different resources. I am tutoring a 6th grade student and wanted a resource that provided daily work. Overall, the structure just wasnt appealing to either my student or I. It proved a little to difficult to do digitally. Perhaps it would be better to use for in-person learning. Overall, it just wasn't for me.

4th Grade Daily Math Spiral Review [DIGITAL]
All Things Awesome

I have started using this for my students as spiral review. However, it is definitely not for spiral review. It covers mid to end of year concepts in the first week. I am having to do A LOT of editing with this, which I wish I didn't have to do since the reason I bought it was to make distance learning easier.

This was SO repetitive. My daughter would cry when I would say that we were going to do our grammar work. There is really no variety or way to make this a fun learning experience. The power point program was by far the best part of this resource. I had high hopes for this, but unfortunately we will not be using this grammar resource.

I purchased both products for Sign of the Beaver. I cannot print either of your products. I've never had any issue with other TPT products. Can you convert the product in some way. It says: Unable to convert PostScript file, for both your products. HELP

I love your products. Where is your chalkboard frames/clipart/fonts from! They are sooo cute

Teacher Thrive

Thank you! All my fonts are from KG Fonts. She has a store here on TpT. I make all my frames and clipart myself using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
