Description
Comparing decimals and decimal place value can be challenging concepts to teach, so using decimal models is a must!
Ordering Decimals Math Tiles is a hands-on math center that takes students’ thinking beyond procedures and rote memorization. This engaging resource activates critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while building a true understanding of decimal place value. Students must place 10 number tiles (0-9) on the Time to Tile cards to correctly number four decimal numbers according to the models provided. Students will then list the four numbers in order of greatest to least or least to greatest.
This resource includes:
- 30 different Time to Tile PRINTABLE cards
- An “Answer Recording Sheet,” where students can record their answers so they can be corrected later. This allows the resource to be used as a perfect independent or center activity.
- Answer keys
- Management and organization tips for successfully implementing Time to Tile in your classroom.
This resource is now provided in printable and digital formats (Google Slides).

This was a good activity, just a few small errors
I really enjoyed using this unit, however on the sketch notes age and shape are swapped. I didn't catch it until after we had taken all of our notes and were practicing.
we need the answer key
enjoying the product but we need the answer key. Please provide answer key with purchase
Some helpful but needs more
Some helpful but needs more for the students to retain
I wish there was a different version available...
I like this resource, however I wish there was a different version with identifying the subject & predicate without diagraming.
I bought this and then realized it was way too hard for my 6th graders. Wishing I had gotten a grade lower.
Organized structure. Good for morning warm ups, but too hard for incoming 6th graders. Wish I could get a refund

Hello-
I purchased your Time to Tile resource on Ordering Decimals. Did I misunderstand? I thought the resource includes the printable and digital versions. I'm having trouble finding the digital version link. I've purchased many of these on your website and didn't have a problem finding the link. Thanks for your response.
Hello! My apologies. The file didn't include the the digital version, but I just corrected that. Please re-download the file. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
