Time to Tile: Mystery Angles (Triangles) is a hands-on activity that takes students’ thinking beyond procedures and rote memorization. This engaging resource activates critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while developing algebraic thinking. Students must place 10 number tiles (0-9) on the Time to Tile cards in order to correctly determine the missing angle measurements in 4 triangles.
This resource is now provided in printable and digital formats (Google Slides).
This resource includes:
•30 different Time to Tile cards
•An “Answer Recording Sheet,” where students can record their answers so they can be corrected later. This allows the resource to be used as a perfect independent or center activity.

A "go to" resource.
I love using these in my classroom. They are a great example of making math fun and challenging at the same time.
Perfect for Math Rotations
These math tiles were a huge hit in my math centers. It’s hard to find geometry activities that are hands-on and keep students engaged, but this definitely did the trick. The cards are well-organized and easy to prep. It provided a great challenge for my students and sparked some excellent "math talk" as they worked together to solve the puzzles.
These activities are a huge hit with my students. I love them!
We cannot get enough of these in my upper Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6 NSW Aus) Maths group. They are a great way to have my students think about problems from different perspectives.
Highly engaging resource, the students loved it and were on task. These activities really challenge students to think critically about concepts learned.
