Description
Time to Tile: Multiplication Pentagon is a hands-on activity that takes students’ thinking beyond procedures and rote memorization. This engaging resource activates critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and algebraic reasoning while developing a deep, conceptual understanding of multiplication. Students must place 10 number tiles (0-9) on the open squares to solve the 5 multiplication facts along the pentagon’s perimeter. The products are located outside of the pentagon, between the two factors.
This resource is now provided in printable and digital formats (Google Slides).
This resource includes:
- 30 different Time to Tile cards
- An “Answer Recording Sheet,” where students can record their answers so they can be corrected later. This allows the resource to be used as a perfect independent or center activity.
- Answer keys

My Students Love Tile Games!
My students have early release on Friday, so math is only 45 minutes. They love playing math games as a way to review the skills we covered during the week.
My students loved using this as a warm-up for Maths! I've laminated the pages and tiles and students get very excited to work on the problems with a partner. Would higghly recommend for any teachers looking for additional multiplication practice!

This is truly my favorite product that I purchased last year!
