Description
Time to Tile: Math Grids (All Operations) is a hands-on activity that takes students’ thinking beyond procedures and rote memorization. This engaging resource activates critical thinking and problem-solving skills while building a deep understanding of multiplication, division, addition, and subtracting facts. Students must place 10 number tiles (0-9) on the Time to Tile cards in order to correctly complete a math grid of 8 different equations.
This resource is now provided in printable and digital formats (Google Slides).
This resource includes:
- 30 different Time to Tile PRINTABLE cards
- An “Answer Recording Sheet,” where students can record their answers so they can be corrected later. This allows the resource to be used as a perfect independent or center activity.

I love this resource. It is so easy to assign in google classroom. The students love doing these. They are challenging and engaging.
This activity is such a great way to reinforce productive struggle while focusing on skills. Love the number of versions -- my students want to solve them all!
Great resource to practice all operations and build their number sense.
The tile activities are one of my all-time favourite math activities for early finishers, centers, and individual or partner work! All that is needed is to print on colored paper and laminate. I particularly love that it's self-checking but not on a device and that it doesn't require any reading, making it accessible to all of my students regardless of reading level. My third/fourth grade students found this set more challenging than some of the others, so I would recommend it for slightly older/more advanced students.
Math Tiles are my absolute FAVORITE! One of my kids' favorite things to do when they finish early!
