To be honest, I cannot use within the first few weeks of 5th grade. The math has skills in it the first few weeks that they can't do it yet and it turns into doing longer "mini lessons." I need the first few weeks to review 4th grade and slowly phasing in 5th grade skills that can be built upon previous standards.
Other than that, I will definitely use when the time is right!
The PowerPoint is messed up. The wrong words end up highlighted and/or underlined. It is taking too long for me to fix it.
Great for literacy circles!
It was a fun way to get my students to talk about their reading.
I would rather a multiple choice assessment. It's a great idea, but I was unable to use at my school because of testing/grading guidelines.
