Description
Time to Tile: Addition triangles is a hands-on activity that takes students’ thinking beyond procedures and rote memorization. This engaging resource activates critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and algebraic reasoning while developing a deep, conceptual understanding of addition. Students must place 10 number tiles (0-9) on each vertex of the 9 triangles to match the sums inside of the triangles. Each card provides students with a clue by indicating where one number tile must be placed first.
This resource is now provided in printable and digital formats (Google Slides).
This resource includes:
- 30 different Time to Tile cards
- An “Answer Recording Sheet,” where students can record their answers so they can be corrected later. This allows the resource to be used as a perfect independent or center activity.
- Answer keys

Growth and Revisiting
This helped my students so much because it consistently revisited important skills, but also helped with preteaching skills in advance.
Wonderful Unit
I absolutely love this unit on Coordinating Conductions. Would purchase again.

Can work as a full vocab curriculum!
I bought this when my school told me I needed to create my own curriculum that taught Greek and Latin roots to the 6th and 7th grades. It was such a lifesaver!

Hi, I can't see where else to put this, sorry if it's in the wrong spot.
Just did the Math Tiles: Addition Triangles with my kiddos today and came up with 2 errors. Card 23 and 28. On card 23, the only way it works, is if the purple 7 (in the middle of the card) is an 11. On Card 28, it seems to only work is if the red 11 (along the right hand side) is a 14. Please let me know if we have made the error or if it needs to be fixed and re-downloaded. Cheers!
