Time to Tile: 2 by 2 Factor Puzzles is a hands-on activity that takes students’ thinking beyond procedures and rote memorization. This engaging resource activates critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while building a true understanding of factors and the relationship between multiplication and division. Students must place 10 number tiles (0-9) on the Time to Tile cards in order to correctly complete two 2-by-2 matrixes/matrices that are based on the factors of 4 different numbers.
This resource is now provided in printable and digital formats (Google Slides).
This resource includes:
•30 different Time to Tile cards
•An “Answer Recording Sheet,” where students can record their answers so they can be corrected later. This allows the resource to be used as a perfect independent or center activity.

My students loved it.
I used this as a review activity for my 7th graders
I saw the blog post and tried the activity. It was definitely challenging for some of my lower students, but not impossible.
I love the fact that this is editable so I can move things around. Being a new teacher I was unsure about what to send home for homework and wanted to find something that was a couple problems a night. This provided me a resource to use and be able to edit.
I bought this to use as a warm-up in my 5th grade learning support math class Every day has a word problem, fraction, shape, and a math computation problem. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting. I was hoping for more variety.

There seems to be something very wrong with this PDF file. It crashes my preview application every single time, but other files don't crash it. It's also VERY glitchy when I open the pdf using an online browser.
Also, there are a few pages with answers filled in.
Hi Robyn. I made some changes to the graphics in the file, so it would load more smoothly. I recommend opening and printing all of my files from Adobe Reader for best results. I also deleted some of those answers that mistakenly were left on some of the cards. Please let me know if the changes I made help. You can download the new version under "my purchases."
