Great for a quick check to make sure students understand and can apply the concept.
I am happy with Teacher Thrive's Complex Sentence resource. The sentence types resources are very helpful. It is like having an assistant teacher since I don't have to create my own slides. Not to mention that the layout/design is eye-friendly. I don't get overwhelmed with colors or images, the choice of colors and design is just right. I find that presentation, and not just the content itself, plays an important role in teaching. This resource is definitely engaging but is not a sensory-overload when it comes to its presentation.
I purchased Compound Sentences together with the other types of sentences to have consistency in the style of teaching. This resource is very spot on. I love that it has enough activities for students to really learn the concept. In previous years when I didn't have this resource, students have that glazed look in their eyes. It's like once we stepped further than simple sentences, I already lost their attention. This resource is the answer to that. Students are really engaged with the sketch notes.
This resource was extremely helpful in my classroom especially in the time crunch that I placed myself in. The students seemed to enjoy this resource. Thank you!
Good for whole class introduction or review. Has to be teacher directed. Kids tend to spend lots of time coloring.

I downloaded this so I can see what's included, and it looks like someone may have edited your original Google Form for the quiz? Instead of asking for the name, it says "pico conner" and someone added extra questions to the form. I just wanted to let you know!
Also, would you consider at some point creating Google Slides with the task cards instead of Forms? I was checking this out as a sample of your grammar units for my 3rd graders, and I would love something like that to help save paper!
Hello, Erica! Thank you so much for letting me know. I just corrected the Task Card Google Form so an original version should now force copy. At this time, I don't have plans to create Google Slides versions of the Task Cards. However, I will definitely consider that for possible future updates.
I see you recommend doing the sketch notes on Thursday. We only have grammar four days a week. Would it work to have students complete the sketch notes on Monday while you go through the slides?
Hi Suzanne. I don't know if most students can complete the notes while you show the slideshow. Teachers will most likely need to complete the notes as students follow along.
Do you have the PowerPoint in a Google Slides version?
Hello! The PowerPoint should transfer over to Google Slides just fine.
I am looing to buy the bundle. Do you have a scope & sequence ...or is it just pick and choose as you/your district sees fit?
Hi There! The units are designed to be taught in the order they are presented within the bundle. However, there is some flexibility if you are required to follow a specific scope and sequence.
I cannot get the link to download. I am signed in.
