A great resource for Intervention!
I like the set-up, but I have to go in and change several things b/c the exercises don't require the students to do what is required of the actual Common Core standard. Ex, students do know figurative language. The Daily Language wants the students to find the origin, meaning & write a sentence. The origin is not part of the standard. I feel it's better for the students to determine the meaning using context clues (instead of just looking it up), then write their own sentence. Instead, I give them a sentence using the idiom. Then they must determine, the meaning using the context clues I've provided in the sentence. Then they must write their own sentence using the idiom. I do the same thing for the proverb/adage on the Wednesday section.
The prefix section- I change it around & have the students to identify the prefix. Determine the meaning of the prefix, then then the meaning of the word. I do understand that when creating this product, it's created to serve teachers all over that may have different standard that they must follow. I'd like to send examples of how I tweak the Daily Language.
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. While the origin is not part of the standard, students find this information very interesting and knowing the origin does help students retain the meaning. I will also add that the act of finding the origin is a common core standard: "Consult reference materials (e.g., dictionaries, glossaries, thesauruses), both print and digital, to find the pronunciation and determine or clarify the precise meaning of key words and phrases." I am happy to hear that you have been able to adapt this resource to meet your teaching needs, though.
Kind of high expectations before reading -- concepts are challenging for many younger students with nothing concrete from which to build references. With the right group, it would be great.
great resource
Very clear. My only suggestion would be more text structures and lines in the boxes.

Hi, I was wondering how this is different to the individual packs on each of the sentence types? Thanks :)
Can you please add the learning objectives or ... to all your PPTs?
Hello! I'm sorry, but I am not understanding what it is that you are asking for. Can you please elaborate?
Thank you for your reply. However, I was able to find only the link for the assessment and I made a copy of it, but I am not able to find the links for the Google documents. PLEASE ADVISE!
Hello again, Sana. There are three links in the .xlxs file: task cards, practice, and assessment. The PowerPoint can be converted to Google Slides by opening up a blank slide document and importing the PPT file. Please email us at info@teacherthrive.com if you need additional assistance.
Hi, I do not see google slides to assign them to my students. Although I love your work, but I'm not able to make a copy of the files to save them on my Google Drive. Please advise!
Hello, Sana. Thanks for reaching out! The links for the Google documents are located in the .xlsx file in the complete resource zip file. If you need additional help finding this, please email us at info@teacherthrive.com.
Is this on Google Slides? It says that it is "digital," but I'm not sure what that means.
The practice printable, task cards, and assessment come in Google Forms version.
My download is saying that the Excel Google Forms document is corrupt...Help, please.
That's strange. Not to worry. Please contact TpT so they can troubleshoot this with you directly. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Contact
I am unable to extract all the files. The Word doc and task cards will not extract. I am unable to open either. Please fix. Thanks.

Hi! I am wondering if it would be possible to just purchase the sketch notes you have for your 5th-grade grammar curriculum, and if so, how much would you charge?
Hello! Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, the sketch notes are not sold separately.
I already had that font installed. The highlighting and underlining on many slides doesn't work correctly.
That’s strange. Could you email me so we can troubleshoot this? Info@teacherthrive,com
The highlighting and underlining on slides 4, 5, and 7 SO FAR doesn't work correctly.
