Description

This comprehensive grammar bundle gives you more than disconnected practice pages. Every unit provides a complete instructional sequence, from introducing the skill to assessing student understanding.

Use the materials for whole-class instruction, small groups, literacy centers, intervention, homework, review, tutoring, or homeschool instruction.

What Is Included

You will receive 28 complete grammar units. Each unit includes:

  • 1 digital worksheet for Google Classroom
  • 30 task cards with a digital version

That gives you 28 lessons, 28 grammar worksheets, 28 task-card sets, 28 sketch notes pages, 28 assessments, and 28 interactive notebook activities.

A Predictable Five-Day Routine

Every unit follows the same teacher-friendly weekly structure:

  • Monday: Introduce the skill with a PowerPoint lesson.
  • Tuesday: Build accuracy with printable or digital practice.
  • Wednesday: Review and apply the skill with task cards.
  • Thursday: Reinforce learning with grammar sketch notes.

I first purchased this when we were in person just before COVID (early 2020). I have to say that my students LOVED it. Their favorite part are the Task Cards. I would have the cards spread around the classroom by the time they returned from recess, they'd pair up and then would complete them together. They would then bring it to me when finished, I'd circle the ones they had to try again, then they'd go back and see if they can correct it on their own. They were timed, of course. Sometimes I broke it up into 2 days depending on the lesson. Of course now we are in COVID and this is not possible. Every few weeks I sent home worksheets and the grammar worksheets are the first things that I print out. Students have them and are ready. Now what I do with these is share my screen, give them a couple of mintues to complete 2 then move on. When we get about 1/2 way through, I will have them correct their own and then on day 2 they finish the rest on their own. I attach just the task cards that they need in Google Classroom.

Another thing that I learned and the students really enjoy is the Sketch Notes. This is how silly I was. I had the students taking notes in their composition books as I went through the slides. I did this all of last year. Well, until 2 lessons ago I realized that you can go through the slides and they can enter the notes right in their Sketch Notes. Wow! Life changing! There are usually practice questions on the slides and I have them write those in their composition books for practice.

This really is helpful and easy to use. The students are aware that the highlights do not always match up so I changed it to, "Is it correct?" For some reason my iPAD doesn't like the fonts that we were to download.

Thank you for this!

Margaret K.

There are so many components to this resource. I love that the activities are both digital and paper-based. The powerpoints are very helpful for the students.

Great resource!

I love all of your resources! We started the year in-person, but have recently moved to remote learning. I've been trying to figure out how to still do grammar with my students while remote without just assigning boring worksheets. Your resource is just what I needed to make my grammar lessons engaging and meaningful for my students!

Great resource that helps make teaching grammar easy.

I love this resource for 5th grade… any update on the potential 6th-grade bundle (I'm specifically looking for the lesson slides)?

Thank you :)

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Tina! I don't have immediate plans to create a 6th-grade version. Hopefully, this is a project I can take on later, though.

Jess Dahlheimer

My school bought this, but I only have GoogleSuite. Is there a Google Version I can download to present onto my Smartboard?

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Jess!

You can upload the PowerPoint files to your Google Drive and open them up in Google Slides.

Chenise T.

About how much time needs to be dedicated each day to teach this? I would be trying to fit it into a 40 minute class that includes a writing project, as well. Wondering if this would be too much to do in that amount of time? Is it about 10-15 minutes? Or is it longer?

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Chensie. While the duration can vary greatly depending on your particular students, I would say 15 minutes per day should be more than enough time.

Adriene R.

Hello, do you happen to have a bundle for the yearlong grammar for both 4th and 5th? I need both but just seeing if there is a bundle deal for both purchases. Thank you.

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Adriene!

Unfortunately, I do not have multi-grade level bundles for the year-long grammar programs.

Karen Biros

I love your sketch notes, we use them religiously in math. Do you have powerpoints to guide students through making the sketch notes for these units?

Teacher Thrive

Hi Karen! Thank you so much for the kind words. The grammar units do not have exact PowerPoints for the sketch notes. I designed these units a bit differently than the Math Sketch Notes, so while they do have a PowerPoint for each specific topic, the sketch notes are typically completed after all of the other components (instructional PowerPoint, practice pages, task cards, etc.).

Tiffany Forman

Do you have any products that teach when/how to use "a versus an"?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Thanks for asking. I do not have such a resource. I believe that might be a first or second-grade standard, and my resources are primarily for grades 3-6.

Amy F.

Am I able to convert the PowerPoints to Google Slides?

Teacher Thrive

Hello, Amy. Yes, the PPTS can be opened in Google Slides.

From the Hartt

I can't find a direct "Message to Seller" button....Do you sell JUST sketch notes? Not all the units. I am just interested in the notes pages bundled.

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Thanks for asking! Since the Sketch Notes are designed to reinforce the concepts taught in the other components of the unit (PowerPoints, task cards, practice printables, etc.), I do not sell them separately. Students need direct instruction for each topic before completing the sketch notes.

Alice C.

Is there any way to just get the 28 sketch note pages?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Thanks for asking! Since the Sketch Notes are designed to reinforce the concepts taught in the other components of the unit (PowerPoints, task cards, practice printables, etc.), I do not sell them separately. Students need direct instruction for each topic before completing the sketch notes.

Secondary Stack

From Australia here... I don't suppose you have these in UK/Aussie spelling etc, too? :) Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

Hello! Thanks for asking. This resource is only available in US spellings.
