I first purchased this when we were in person just before COVID (early 2020). I have to say that my students LOVED it. Their favorite part are the Task Cards. I would have the cards spread around the classroom by the time they returned from recess, they'd pair up and then would complete them together. They would then bring it to me when finished, I'd circle the ones they had to try again, then they'd go back and see if they can correct it on their own. They were timed, of course. Sometimes I broke it up into 2 days depending on the lesson. Of course now we are in COVID and this is not possible. Every few weeks I sent home worksheets and the grammar worksheets are the first things that I print out. Students have them and are ready. Now what I do with these is share my screen, give them a couple of mintues to complete 2 then move on. When we get about 1/2 way through, I will have them correct their own and then on day 2 they finish the rest on their own. I attach just the task cards that they need in Google Classroom.
Another thing that I learned and the students really enjoy is the Sketch Notes. This is how silly I was. I had the students taking notes in their composition books as I went through the slides. I did this all of last year. Well, until 2 lessons ago I realized that you can go through the slides and they can enter the notes right in their Sketch Notes. Wow! Life changing! There are usually practice questions on the slides and I have them write those in their composition books for practice.
This really is helpful and easy to use. The students are aware that the highlights do not always match up so I changed it to, "Is it correct?" For some reason my iPAD doesn't like the fonts that we were to download.
Thank you for this!
There are so many components to this resource. I love that the activities are both digital and paper-based. The powerpoints are very helpful for the students.
Great resource!
I love all of your resources! We started the year in-person, but have recently moved to remote learning. I've been trying to figure out how to still do grammar with my students while remote without just assigning boring worksheets. Your resource is just what I needed to make my grammar lessons engaging and meaningful for my students!
Great resource that helps make teaching grammar easy.

Following up on prior question, have these resources been updated to use digitally? Clearly so needed for the now :) Thanks!
Not yet. Digital versions of the practice printables, task cards, and assessments will be added in late Aug/early Sept.
Is this resource able to be uploaded into Canvas for distance learning?
Hi Stephanie,
We are adding Google Form versions of the practice printables, task cards, and assessment by the end of Aug. However, I don't know if those are compatible with Canvas.
I purchased this great resource! Is there a proper sequence to follow when teaching these individual skills?
Hello! While there is some flexibility, I recommend you follow the order in which the units are numbered.
I read in a review that you will be updating this resources to include task cards in google form format. Any idea when this will be done, I would like to purchase this bundle, but would like to purchase once the google forms are added.
This will be done by late Aug/early Sept. FYI- the price will increase once these have been added, so you may want to purchase the bundle now to save money.
Any chance you have an update of the 6th grade materials like this? I have your INB, but would love supportive materials and practice. Thank you!
Hello! I don't have grammar units for 6th grade at this time.
Was this bundle recently updated? I didn't know if I needed to redownload any updates to the grammar bundle. Thank you for your help :)
Hi Machelle. This bundle had some minor updates on May 3. However, in a couple of months, I will be adding digital versions of all the task cards, practice printables, and assessments. You should get an email when that update is completed.
Hi. Is this product in the works for the practice and assessment pages to be added as google forms? I want to make sure this is going to happen before I purchase as I would like to have the practice and assessments as forms.
Yes! Google Form versions for the practice printables, task cards, and assessments will be added within the next two months.
Will this be a digital form for google classroom?
Right now, it does not include digital versions for Google Classroom. However, over the next few months, we will be adding Google Form versions of the task cards, practice printables, and the assessments.
Hi,
Is there any way you can make the practice and the assessment digital?
I hope to eventually. Right now we are working on finishing the digital spiral reviews for grammar.
Are these aligned to the 5th grade common core?
Hello! Yes, they are.
