Description

This comprehensive grammar bundle gives you more than disconnected practice pages. Every unit provides a complete instructional sequence, from introducing the skill to assessing student understanding.

Use the materials for whole-class instruction, small groups, literacy centers, intervention, homework, review, tutoring, or homeschool instruction.

What Is Included

You will receive 28 complete grammar units. Each unit includes:

A Predictable Five-Day Routine

Every unit follows the same teacher-friendly weekly structure:

I first purchased this when we were in person just before COVID (early 2020). I have to say that my students LOVED it. Their favorite part are the Task Cards. I would have the cards spread around the classroom by the time they returned from recess, they'd pair up and then would complete them together. They would then bring it to me when finished, I'd circle the ones they had to try again, then they'd go back and see if they can correct it on their own. They were timed, of course. Sometimes I broke it up into 2 days depending on the lesson. Of course now we are in COVID and this is not possible. Every few weeks I sent home worksheets and the grammar worksheets are the first things that I print out. Students have them and are ready. Now what I do with these is share my screen, give them a couple of mintues to complete 2 then move on. When we get about 1/2 way through, I will have them correct their own and then on day 2 they finish the rest on their own. I attach just the task cards that they need in Google Classroom.

Another thing that I learned and the students really enjoy is the Sketch Notes. This is how silly I was. I had the students taking notes in their composition books as I went through the slides. I did this all of last year. Well, until 2 lessons ago I realized that you can go through the slides and they can enter the notes right in their Sketch Notes. Wow! Life changing! There are usually practice questions on the slides and I have them write those in their composition books for practice.

This really is helpful and easy to use. The students are aware that the highlights do not always match up so I changed it to, "Is it correct?" For some reason my iPAD doesn't like the fonts that we were to download.

Thank you for this!

There are so many components to this resource. I love that the activities are both digital and paper-based. The powerpoints are very helpful for the students.

Great resource!

I love all of your resources! We started the year in-person, but have recently moved to remote learning. I've been trying to figure out how to still do grammar with my students while remote without just assigning boring worksheets. Your resource is just what I needed to make my grammar lessons engaging and meaningful for my students!

Great resource that helps make teaching grammar easy.

Learning is a Treasure

Hi,

I think you should mention in your description that you might have to download the two free fonts you mentioned below so that everything lines up perfectly.
I can't wait to explore this bundle!
Thank you!

Teacher Thrive

Hello!
Thanks for reaching out. There are notes in the PPT that mention this, but yes, I agree with you that we should add this to the description.
Thank you!

Learning is a Treasure

Hi,
Is there a scope and sequence? Any parent handouts?

Thanks

We do not have a sixth grade grammar bundle at this time.

I'd like to see some of the interactive things from the $84.99 bundle. Thanks!

Teacher Thrive

Thanks for reaching out! There are previews of the interactive notebook activities in the product preview.

Mymichelle07

I am wondering how much time you would say these lessons would take each day?

Teacher Thrive

Thanks for reaching out! They should take about 15-20 mins each day, but of course, they may vary depending on your students, and some of the activities, such as the Interactive Notebooks and Sketch Notes, may take a little longer.

Megan S

How long does each lesson take? Since you have the different lessons for each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. Just trying to get an idea about how long to spend on these lessons each class period.

Thanks! :)

Hi!

I have this bundle for 4th grade... is the 5th grade one completely different? Or are some of the lessons the exact same?

Thanks! :)

Teacher Thrive

Thanks for reaching out, Kristy! While the formatting looks the same, the content in the 5th Grade Bundle is completely different than the 4th Grade Bundle!

Stacy B.

Will you be making these bundles for 6th and 7th grade?

Teacher Thrive

We hope to make one for 6th, but we just don't know if or when we'll be able to.

Cherish G.

Piggy back off another posters question...I know they are common core aligned, but is there a preview of the standards that are addressed? I want to make sure what is and is not hit. Thank you!

Teacher Thrive

Hello! This resource was written based on fifth-grade content standards. However, none of the student materials are labeled with a grade level to allow teachers to use this resource across grade levels. Most of the individual units will show what standards they are aligned with if you click into the specific unit. You can find an example of this here: https://teacherthrive.com/product/fifth-grade-grammar-subject-and-predicate/
