Great resource to use with the daily work.
Great end of the week assessment to use with the daily work! Very organized and detailed.
Great product! I like that they are slightly different than the weekly practice.
Great quizzes for the end of the week!
These are a GREAT addition to the bell-ringer set that accompanies them. By the end of the year, my students were awesome at these skills.

I wish you had a discounted bundle for grades 6-8.
Hi Cindy! While I don't have a 6-8 bundle, I can offer you a 20% refund after you purchase 3 or more of the assessments. You can email me after you make the purchase with your order ID number, and then I can initiate a refund. GotToTeach@icloud.com
Are the questions on the weekly assessments simply taken from the weekly DLR exercises?
Hi Cindy! The questions are related, but not identical. You can download the preview to see the first two weeks to compare.
Also, has the student handbook been added to the 6th grade assessment pack? I saw that you mentioned that down below in another comment. :)
No, the handbook is just part of the review.
Hi Kelly!
How do you typically use the language assessment each week? There are 20 questions. Do you have them answer a couple each day mon-thur and then review each answer that same day? Do you teach mini-lessons each day when you review the answers if the students don't know/understand? Do you give a quiz/test on Fridays?
Thank you!
Hi Amanda! The assessments are intended as a Friday assessment for the 5-A-Day Language Review, which is a separate resource. The language review (M-th) is something I recommend discussing each day. I find that the best way to use this is to begin with whole group lessons where you model and discuss each of the activities. I don't worry too much if there hasn't been a formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more of a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students are working independently on the review, you will simply spend time correcting and discussing their work in class. Please feel free to email me with any questions! Do you have a 5th grade version of this available? I use your 5-A-Day and I LOVE IT, but would love an assessment to use!
Hi Kelly! I do!! You can find it here: https://teacherthrive.com/product/5th-grade-weekly-language-assessments/
I will also be adding a "student handbook" to the review by the end next week, so be on the lookout for that update:-)
