I have purchased several resources from this teacher, and they are all FANTASTIC! As a former teacher and current homeschool parent, I am very particular about the resources I'm choosing for my son's home learning. While working on engaging projects with him, I also wanted to be sure I was giving him some routine, daily work that would maintain and build skills that meet Common Core standards. This resource, along with the others I've purchased from this educator's store, has done all the work for me. I LOVE that I get to focus my planning on content that engages my son, while I have these daily sheets ready to go. He gets started on them right away, and he feels confident because the skills build slowly and it is work that he can get going on his own. I would checkout other resources from this teacher, as they will save you time in knowing that they are of excellent quality, and you can quickly choose what you need. Definitely worth the money! I only wish I had discovered her shop sooner, before I purchased similar resources from others that just weren't as well thought out. Much GRATITUDE for this educator!

Hello! I purchased this a few years ago and LOVE it! I use it every year. I was wondering if this has ever been updated or changed in the past few years... If not, do you provide an editable version of the stories? In the "Autism" story in particular, I would like to edit certain sentences to be more inclusive to others in my classes that may be on the spectrum. For example, "Jenny's parents knew something was wrong soon after she was born" to maybe something along the lines of they knew she was different. Or "Children with autism often have a hard time sitting still" to something like 'Some children with autism can have a hard time sitting still.' Minor tweaks to some of the wording throughout the story like that... I think this story/article is so important for my students to learn about and would love to use it.

***EDIT: Yes, I see that I can edit the questions. I am inquiring about editing the "Autism" story itself to be more inclusive. Thank you!

I am very excited to use your resource but I was curious about the order. I was reviewing the table and contents and was wondering if you suggest sticking to the order of the stories. For example I was thinking of waiting on the boycott article until Jan or Feb when we talk about civil rights. I just wasn't sure if there was a method to the order and didn't want to mess anything up.

Teacher Thrive

Hi Amanda! Thanks for reaching out. I recommend they be taught in the order in which they appear. However, you can absolutely use certain passages for those specific themes!
