Great Review of Daily Grammar

I used this resource as a daily warm-up activity for my 5th graders and it was a great help. It refreshed their memory of different grammar rules and reinforced our grammar lessons in a quick format.

I bought the paper product version. Will my purchase would be automatically updated with the new google version?

Teacher Thrive

These are a separate purchase as they take hundreds of hours to create and are a stand alone resource.

I discount them for the first 48 hours to help offset the cost for teachers who may have already purchased the printable version.

Denise C.

I love this resource. I purchased the Math and Language Arts. Do you have these as a digital interactive resource to use on google classroom?

Teacher Thrive

I only have digital versions for the math reviews. The language digital versions should be finished within a few months.

Jennifer C.

I have a question about week 15. The answer key I have says the word that rhymes with the phonetic spelling of /pri-mer/ is simmer. Can you clarify this? I would pronounce the word as primer with a long I being the thing that one paints as a first coat. Usually in an open syllable the vowel sound at the end is long. What am I missing?

Teacher Thrive

Hi Jennifer! It can actually be pronounced both ways, though "simmer-primer" is far less common. https://www.quickanddirtytips.com/education/grammar/how-to-pronounce-primer

Stacy T.

Thank you for making such a great product! I have been using your 5th and 6th grade Daily Language Review for a few years now, but my class has gone digital for many of our activities. Is there anyway you could edit the PDF version and take out the answer key? I'm trying to add it to my Google Classroom, but can't figure out how to get the answer pages out of the document.

Thank you!!
STelano

Teacher Thrive

Hello. You should be able to delete the answer key pages to create a version that you can use in Google Classroom. Or you can save to PowerPoint version as a pdf and use that.

Christy Hinton

I see that you have quizzes that go with these skills. My question is do they coincide with one another. Are the skills that are covered in the review in week one, the same skills for the quiz of week 1? Thank you

Teacher Thrive

Hi Christy! Yes, the quizzes perfectly align with the skills for each week of the spiral review.

Stephanie Travis

I want to start by saying i absolutely adore you and ALL of your products. I see that this review set covers •Coordinating and Subordinating Conjunctions (L.5.1a).
I'm looking for a product that helps me review compound and complex sentences with the kids. Does this product cover the actual recognizing of those types of sentences?

Thank you!

Teacher Thrive

Hi Stephanie! Yes it does. If you download the preview, I give a detailed description of what tasks the students are required to complete.

Denise C.

I have a questions about where you are finding how to break up your words by prefix, base/root, and suffix. I am not sure where to direct my students to find this information. I am also not sure. We are on Week 1 - looking at the word illustrate - you say the prefix is il (does that not mean not?). I would appreciate any help you could offer on the source of your information on that part of you review. Also, where do you direct your students to go to find the information about the idioms? I love your resource, but I just need some help. Thank you.

Teacher Thrive

Hi Denise, Have you looked through all of the Teaching Notes and the Student Handbook at the beginning of the file? Both resources cover each item of the review in detail.

MARY W.

I tried to find the answer key and it only gives me a PowerPoint for just the students page. Help

Teacher Thrive

Hello Mary. The download should contain two files. One PowerPoint and one pdf. The answer key is at the end of the pdf. If you aren’t seeing both files in the download, please contact TpT, so they can troubleshoot this with you directly. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Contact

Cohn's Chaos

I love the idea of there only being 5 skills per day. In the preview I am having trouble discerning why this needs to be editable. What needs changing? Also, are quizzes/assessments in this version?

Teacher Thrive

Hello! I provide an editable version so teachers can make any changes they want since everyone’s needs are different. I do have quizzes here: https://teacherthrive.com/product/5th-grade-weekly-language-assessments/
