Does this cover all of Ohio's common core standards and gets them ready for the state test?
Hello, Brittany.
Thanks for asking.
These were created using the Common Core standards, which cover most state standards. While I don't have individual state versions, I do provide an editable version so teachers can make any changes they need.
I printed this years ago and I need the key. I don't have it anymore
is this a printed version
Hi. Do the first couple of weeks review third grade content? Or do you jump right into reviewing 4th grade content on week one? I'm concerned that since this isn't aligned to a particular curriculum, the first few weeks might "review" content that hasn't actually been taught yet... Any info you can provide about which skills are covered in the first few weeks would be helpful.
Hello! While this resource does not begin with 3rd grade content, it does begin with the simplest versions of 4th grade topics. The difficulty increases as the weeks progress.
The best way to use this spiral review is to begin with whole-group lessons where you model and discuss each activity. I don't worry too much if there haven't been formal lessons on a particular concept; I treat those items more as a preview. After a few weeks, the students really start grasping the format, and you can begin to transfer the workload to them. Eventually, when the students work independently on the review, you will spend time correcting and discussing their work in class.
However, you can always use the editable version (open in PowerPoint) to remove/change any review items you like.
I bought this item and it does not let me print. Would you be able to let me know why I cannot print?
Try the steps below.
Open the PDF file with Adobe Acrobat Reader
Click “Print”
Click on “Advanced”
Check the “Print as Image” box

Pryor starts a business and selling used furniture. In the first month, he earns 4,058 and spends 3,115. What is his profit for this month?
Hello! Is there a version where it's organized by standard? For example, week 1-2 would be addition, and week 3-4 would be subtraction? That way, students are building on skills and practicing what I'm teaching in class. Thanks.
Hello, thanks for reaching out. This resource only comes in a spiral format with all standards covered each week however, there is an editable version included.
I have this product and it looks great, but I am worried that it starts with too many standards the students are not familiar with yet. Is it normal for students to know long division and factors within the first few weeks? I'm worried I'm looking at it incorrectly.
Hello! It really depends on your student population. Some teachers will use the third-grade version if their fourth-graders aren't ready. Since there is an editable version included, many teachers will omit or change problems they aren't ready to preview with students. However, I prefer that students are exposed to concepts that they may not have had formal instruction on. This presents a great opportunity for you to build background knowledge and assess where your students are before you even teach a specific lesson. We don’t always have the answers or know the procedures to solve problems. It’s healthy to expose students to “unknowns”; they become less sensitive to the uncomfortable feeling of “not knowing” and are less likely to panic.
Hello! This product looks great! I’m looking to switch up my spiral review and had a question. The current product that I use scaffolds the 4th grade standards by reinforcing 3rd grade standards. Does your product do this? Does it build on the skills? For example, multiplication, the review would start with 128 x 4.
Hi Carolyn! Thanks for reaching out. Please download the preview file to see the first two weeks of the review. I have also included a detailed overview of all the skills covered each day and week for the entire 36 weeks.
Does this bundle align with Virginia standards? Also is there an answer key?
Thanks for reaching out! These are based on the Common Core, as shown in the listing. Answer keys are included!
