Depth and Complexity Teaching Critical Thinking Using Fairytales
Megan McRae

This resource is absolutely incredible!! I love the idea of the fairytales-like you said in your rationale: it's so much easier to apply these icons to texts they are already familiar with. It brings success to them quicker, and inspires them take on the challenge of applying them to new material we'll encounter through the year. Older students still have that "little kid" inside of them, and I believe my middle schoolers will love revisiting these tales. I cannot wait to begin next school year with this resource! Keep the products coming!!

Thank you for one of the best "feedbacks" EVER. I really do appreciate the time and care you took to leave your response. And, yes, TOTALLY appropriate for middle school and beyond; there are actually some pretty "deep" elements to fairytales that older students can really dive into.

Depth and Complexity Critical Thinking Task Cards for Literature
Ann S.

Probably too complex for my students, but they look great for older elementary.

Oh that's too bad! I'm sorry to hear this. I wouldn't recommend these to grades lower than 4. Please feel free to email me for possible ways to adapt these for your kiddos.

I have never been more disappointed in a resource before. As a teacher, I would expect more. Do you have a table of contents? It is an excel spreadsheet that requires me to click on each and make a copy. I would like to know what is on it specifically before having to click on each link.

Teacher Thrive

These are Google Forms, and the best way to organize them is via Excel. There is no table of contents because the forms are organized by week in the Excel file. Yes, you must click on each on to save them to your Google Drive. That is how Google Drive works and is the only way we can ensure that teachers can access these forms properly.
