🎯 Why Teachers Love This Resource
✔ Visual pathways for complex concepts: Students aren’t just memorizing — they are sketching definitions, examples, and models that make algebraic thinking and number sense more accessible.
✔ Perfect for Guided Notes or Interactive Notebooks: Use pages whole‑class, in small groups, or for independent work.
✔ Supports students who think visually or need processing time. A great fit for diverse learners.
✔ Flexible and re‑usable: Print pages for class sets, put in binders, or assign as homework.
✔ Can be paired with any 3rd grade curriculum: Not tied to a particular program, so you can integrate with what your district or school uses.
Teachers comment that their students refer back to these pages all year, and that the visual note‑taking helps students truly make sense of math rather than just memorize procedures.
🧠 How Students Use These Pages
📌 Build Sketch Notebooks: Students can compile the pages into math notebooks to serve as a year‑long reference.
📌 Complete During Instruction: Use during guided instruction so students record key ideas while learning with you.
📌 Review & Test Prep: Assign pages as review before quizzes or for spiral practice.
📌 Supports Reflective Thinking: Pages encourage students to reflect — not just fill in blanks.
Because sketch notes integrate writing, drawing, and reasoning, many students find them less intimidating and more interactive than traditional notes or worksheets.
🧑🏫 Teacher Benefits You’ll Appreciate
💡 Save planning time: Ready‑to‑use notes eliminate the need to create visuals from scratch.
💡 No extra prep needed: Just print and go!
💡 Great for differentiation: Students who need more practice or visual supports get them built in.
💡 Works in any setting: Classroom, tutoring, remote learning, or math intervention blocks.
💡 Supports long‑term retention: Students use multiple modes (visual, verbal, kinesthetic) to learn.

I wish I found this sooner
I love these interactive sketch notes that keep my students engaged instead of simply creating anchor charts in front of them, though while they watch and possibly zone out. It has made a huge difference in teaching my students keywords and has given them great resources to refer back to when when needed.
Awesome for introducing lessons or reteaching.
I love this. It makes our lessons more fun than just doing worksheets. Students can refer back to it after the lesson to help them.

Thank you for another wonderful resource for 3rd grade math!
Interactive
So glad I tried this resource. It's working well to support an interactive math notebook for my class. Since I am in Canada, I am using the grade 3 and grade 4 to meet our slightly different expectations.
AMAZING!
This is an amazing resource! I love all the options, and my students love that they can draw on their notes.

When I try to download the whole bundle as one download, I only see two "PrintableDownloadPage". This is happening for fifth grade also, the "All in one printable" is one page. I think I can still download each file individually, but I was hoping to have the document as one.
Hello! Only the student pages are available in an all-in-one download. The PowerPoints are too large to be downloaded all at once, so you'll need to download the unit for those.
Hello,
I absolutely love these slides. I do have a question though, I purchased grade 3 year long bundle and on the addition table slides. On slide 24 the word even is in blue which is not like all the other "evens". Is this on purpose?
Thanks
Hello, Lisa! Yes, this is intentional. The colors are illustrating the addition rules and how they connect to the patterns found in the table.
Hi! I teach advanced math for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades (I teach the 2nd-5th grade curriculum to those grades). I've purchased this product for 3rd, 4th, and 5th and LOVE them! Any chance you are working on one for 2nd grade??? I would purchase immediately if it were to become available. I'm hoping to create a binder of guided notes with the kids that will follow them through each grade. Pleeeaaassssseeee
Hello, Whitney! Thank you so much for asking and for the kind words. My main focus is on grades 3-6, so I don't have plans at this time to create math sketch notes for grade 2. However, I will consider the idea for a possible project in the future.
I have just purchased the third grade bundle and was wondering if there is any way I could export the PDF's for students into editable Powerpoints as that is the system my school uses. Thank you for your time.
I don’t believe you can create editable PowerPoint using the PDFs, but I do include PowerPoint for each set of sketch notes in the bundle.
There is an issue with the powerpoints for Elapsed Time T-Charts. The slides seem be almost fully completed in part 1. Part 3 also seems to be less complete than part 2.
Hello, Ryan! Thanks for letting me know about that! I will have that corrected by the end of the day.
Can you print these doodle notes as they are in the example pictures or are they mostly blank pages that need to be doodled in by students?
Hello, Rebecca.
Yes, you can print completed and colored versions of each set of notes.
I just purchased grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 of these amazing notes! Where can I access the power points for these? Thank you!
Hello, Carrie! Each PowerPoint is available in the individual unit folders. Unfortunately, because the files are so large, they must be downloaded one at a time. It's a bit of a pain, but due to TpT data limits, it's the only way to access the material. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Do you have a bundle aligned to the Alberta Math 3 POS. I found most pieces in 3-6 sets. I couldn't find pieces on transformations w/o ordered pairs (rotations, reflections, translations), numerical patterns (ordinal numbers [position], finite, infinite sequences, skip counting sequences, pattern rules) Equations ( 3 + ∎= 5, 3 + ∎ = 8 - 4), statistics (statistical ?s, 1st vs 2nd hand data, dot plots, bar graphs), Measurement (relate mm/cm/m with referents, relate in/ft/yd with referents)
Hello, Ryan. Please see the specific list of topics included in the product description. Since these were written for US standards, some of the topics you teach might not be fully covered, even though the majority of standards are the same.
Will these work well if printed to glue into a composition book?
Absolutely! Every set of notes comes in a composition notebook size.
Does this include the slides as well?
Yes, each unit comes with a PowerPoint, which you can also open in Google Slides.
