Great resource. I use it for morning math. Thanks!
I am excited to use this, but I am concerned that it may be better for fourth grade considering it starts off with concepts that the students don't learn until later in the year. I might change some of the phrasings to better align with third grade background knowledge at various times of the year. For example, it starts out with multiplication, but my students are more comfortable and familiar with the phrase "groups of" (e.g., "4 x 5" is stated as "4 groups of 5"). Also, in second grade they don't cover area and perimeter, but this packet starts out with this concept.
I am excited to give it a try with my third graders and will keep it as a resource if I loop to fourth.

Hi there! Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. As explained in the "resource notes," I definitely recommend doing this with your students whole group for the first 2-3 weeks. I think you'll find that as the weeks go on, they will really get the hang of it. New or unfamiliar material we be presented to them, but that will allow for you to pre assess and teach mini lessons as necessary. The great thing about presenting this new material to your students is that when you do get to the formal lessons on a particular topic you'll know exactly where everyone is in regards to ability.

Is there ANY way you can create 5 a day math for 2nd grade?
our district uses them in 4,5,and 6 But I moved to second from 4 and can not find anything as high quality as yours! this is my favorite resourse! I am so sad and desperately need one for 2nd. Pretty Please!!
