Before 2016, I taught 4th and 5th grade for 12 years. I earned a Masters of Science in Reading, and in addition to being a Reading Specialist, I have also taught at the community college level.

I am also a wife and a mom; two roles in life that I cherish deeply. My husband and I have been married for 17 years. We have one daughter, who has blessed our lives in countless ways. As a family, we love spending time outdoors and going on trips that take us into nature.

My goal for this blog is to inspire other teachers and share some valuable ideas that I have learned during my journey as an educator.
